I am just wondering, for us that are out of town...how do they make the flash for us?
i mean we are not personally there for them to work on the reflash for our specific mods so what would the reflash actually do for us out of towners?

i need a tune soon probably after my exhaust mods and the reflash looks like a good route to take with my mod progression.

you'd need to take the ECU out and send it in... which means your FX would out of commission until you get it back.

And yes, you'd wanna do this after the mods.

Yes Ken, i was already aware of this and the downtown that is required between the shipping. my mom unfortunately is going for surgery Feb 5th to have both her knees replaced due to very serious arthritis, and since she cant drive after that for quite some time i would have another vehicle to drive while the FX is down.

i wanted to know how the reflash can help the people out of town because after thy flash the ECU it is still not "tuned" for our personal mods/needs. it is just a reflash.

Would it even be adequate for somebody out of town who is n/a but heavily modified compared to somebody with just a few mods? It just doesnt seem like it can do much without a tune for the vehicle it is being applied to...or ? i am pretty confused. if i was local it would all make sense lol

You're right in some respects. Being there will allow for minor adjustments, but Tadashi has enough experience to adjust in your mods based on other VQ maps with those same mods. He can probably get something close, & you will still see gains & better drivability with a tune. Another overlooked improvement will be the opening of your throttle 100% vs. the 80 that's advertised as the stock config.

I guess you can call the reflash a conservative aggressive map? If there is such a thing. Much more aggressive compared to the oem ecu timings but not to the limits of your specific modifications(That would take a custom tune, like Dave and Will). But you still get performance improvements and the removal of the speed limiter, the raised rev limiter and the throttle opening.

Do it Do it Do it........you wont regret it. Me and you have just about the same mods. Minus the headers, but you got the HFC's.

I definately will...i just need to finish up my last 2 performance mods (for now at least) then i will be good to go.

if you dont mind me asking how much does the reflash cost? i can bet the shipping charges will be pretty steep too for me

Man those videos were Gay..:laugh::rofl:

It was good to see you and your baby getting tuned on that day. By the way thanks for Lunch..

I guess I need to beware of the new Sleeper on the Scene now. Will I think I need to start worying about you and your baby now...

Can't wait 'til March Brother.. It's on..:biggrin:

Dave you should come out and play with the boys on the track..

We'll see. Looks like Will can put up a good fight now, even against you guys.
I dont think I can beat him up anymore. It's all about reaction & launch at this point to get an advantage.

LoL - I dont think i can beat a 45 but I'm not gonna lose by that big margine anymore.

Something I noticed

Before headers I was averaging - 19.1 MPG
After headers - 19.4 MPG
After TS Tune - 18.1 MPG

And I have been driving pretty conservative due to the rain here in Socal.

Well, if your A/F was off and you were running lean (more air) when they fixed your a/f to balance it out i guess theres more fuel because of more airflow. so you would be using more fuel.

this is just a guess because i really have no idea about these kinds of things.

More power, more fuel . . dunno, I havnt really noticed a diff in milage, but then again I didnt see as much gain as you
