Infiniti FX Lowering Springs

So has there been anything figured out about the Eibach springs that are breaking, as far as relating the failures to a specific part number? I'm driving an FX that had them already installed and would like to know if there's anything I can or should do before I experience a failure.

they break/ snap more in the east coast (seem like) ... where your at.

I also read they had issues on other cars.

Eibach will not admit guilt.... maybe you can email them and see what they tell you.

Eibach!

Haven't heard about any recent snapping - same stories I read about when i was buying mine. They have a million mile warranty too - will replace should failure occur.

I know I have posted this several times before - but most people just recommend what they have. I've never met anybody that has owned both springs and could give a comparison of the two.

stock ftw!!!!!!!!

im leaning towards the H&R side. Some people's eibachs have snapped on the east coast and others havnt. Nonetheless i do not want to take that risk

It seems that the spring stock used on H&R's is of a larger Diameter than the Eibach's Maybe someone could measure dia. of both to compare.

Unless both companies use exactly the same metal alloy, it would make sense they are not the same diameter. Since it's a proprietary design, I doubt they are the same. Like Turbocad said, out of the box the Eibachs are sportier and a little lower. I've only heard H&Rs ride a little softer, so in the end it would be your personal preference as to which way you want to go.

I want a setup like yours though, I need a lower drop with these 20's. I think with the modified suspension components and eibachs my drop would be perfect with my smaller tires.
