I just sold this one a few weeks ago... I loved it (as everyone else did) but I got sick of working on it every other weekend (and Toyota warranty work).
06 Tacoma - lots of fun stuff.





That's why I just joined here - the wife wants a nice car - and I'm taking her 4runner from her.
Here is my new D.D., (wifes old rig)
96 4runner - 3.4v6 S/C, geared, locked, F/R bumpers, sliders, 35's on real beadlocks...it's fun no matter where you are driving it.


Here is our 3rd vehicle - it's my hunting rig. Tried and true 98 Tacoma - I'm going on 8 long years of love with her...LOL...I will go through many vehicles - but this one will NEVER be sold...
And it's also the truck to drive when one of our main vehicles decide to crap out...LOL..(the chrome is now black)



Here is the wife's other old 4runner - we sold it because we wanted smaller payments - but in truth - we both didn't like the color....LOL...

Oh - this was one of the few other off-road rigs from a few years ago...
83 solid axle yota on 36" swampers - man I loved that truck


It was a little too tall though. I needed to loose some lift and cut some fenders...

In regards to cars - this is the first "brand new" car I ever bought new - 2001 Honda Civic. Sold it in 2002 after a DUI - No more cars for me. Went straight to trucks and never looked back....LOL....My wife had a 2000 something Toyota Celica too - it was pretty clean like this - I can't find a pic though.

No I wish maybe a lil down the road ill pick one up. My mom hates bikes so im stayin away.... for the moment lol

The 2005+ Tacoma's have issues. I didn't have to worry about the Motor Mount-frame crack issue, or the rear diff grenading issue - but I did have the 6spd manual tranny problem.

The throwout bearing eats the pilot shaft on the bellhousing (because the design was CRAP) - which causes a chirp - which leads to bearing failure. Toyota replaced my entire bellhousing, clutch disc, pressure plate, TO bearing, and many other small associated parts. It's a $5,000 problem out of warranty. Toyota is supposedly "working" on it.

My front 4WD actuator had a wiring issue. (Toyota problem - they fixed)

The front CV boots - rebuilt once - and replaced and entire shaft another (related to lift).

Front hub bearings took a crap. (Toyota problem - and a huge design problem - Toyota fixed)

Front hub seals are POS!!! I can't believe the design of these things. Replaced those once. (I did it myself - because it was easier than dealing with Toyota - but Toyota problem)

I had wheel issues - but those were because of the aftermarket wheels, not a Toyota problem.

The front Upper Control Arms (Total Chaos) needed to be cleaned/lubed WEEKLY - no joke. Same with the rear springs.

Had wiring issues on the rear back-up lights, bed lights, fog lights, driving lights (not Toyota related)

Alignment (which is because of wheeeling)

This is all within 15,000 miles.

95' Mustang GT (maroon) 5spd, lasted 2 weeks, totaled it in the woods doing 70mph b/c an old lady cut me off :-(
93' Cavalier Z24 (green) 5spd, beater car for school
96' Mustang GT (silver) supercharged & dumped about 10k into it, repainted with same silver but added a blue pearl
05' Gsxr 600 (blue/white) added micron slip-on and K&N air filter
03' Lightning (gray then re painted using 96'/03' mystic-chrome, put down 395hp & 497tq. So fast but mpg's sucked !!
05' Altima SER (black) had 6% tint all around and got pulled over 13x in two months so decided had to sell.
98' Eclipse (silver) beater car, hated it.
07' CBR 600rr (white/black) [present] has 15k miles, only thing I'll never sell. Best toy I've owned.
09' FX35 (umbria twilight) [present]
<-first day I got her .. note the fx parked in front.
< first day. < I ran a 12.6 @ 108mph. <went to the movies one night, came back and it got keyed so I decided to do something different. lol ^^embarrasing < 6oo in action <present.
