I have a 2003 fx 45, just recently when I'm driving it basically shuts off, I put the car in neutral and restart it and it's fine, so far it's done it 3 times, could this be the cam sensors that I've been seeing people posting? Only thing is I'm getting no lights on the dash, no abs, or vlc or check engine.

A CAM sensor problem, usually will give you the CEL. Was it hard to restart after it dies?

I've had this problem and no code. It turns out to be the MAF sensor connector/wiring. When mine dies, it had a hard time to start. If it starts, it won't stay on. I giggle the MAF sensor connector a bit and it starts fine and stays. The wires looks good to me, so I just put a zip tie to it and haven't had any problem since.

Just turns off, a lil bog then off, then I put it in neutral and it starts right up, honestly it seems like the security system kills it
Same exact thing happened to me this weekend. Took off air filter box and cleaned the air filter which was completely clogged, and also wiped down the MAF. If you are concerned with the battery in the remote for the security system, you should just change it. It is only around $5. Let me know if you are still having the same issue. Everything you described is exactly like my issue I have been having the past week.

Did you ever figure out your issues? I am hacing the same issue with my 2003 FX45. I have replaced the cam and crank sensors, had the throttle body and maf cleaned. Worked fine for about 1,500 miles and then did it to me the other day.

Going to get rid of the car if can't figure it out. Has only 111k on it

I strongly recommend going behind the glovebox and scrubbing/treating the ECU main ground point. I found mine to be corroded. I cleaned/treated it and a lot of gremlins vanished.

The fact that you're not getting codes tells me it's an ECU problem.

Replace both cam sensors & the crank sensor again but buy the Hitachi brand only and do so from a major seller like Autozone or Rock Auto but not Ebay to be sure that they are genuine. Anything less will fail quickly as your's apparently have.

The ones I had installed were OEM. They were not the junk ones you see for $15. The other symptoms of the crank and cam sensors being bad doesn't exist, like the hard to start or lots of stalling. It's seriously baffling!!

The place I brought it to did not even want to install them as there was no code.

It's still a good car, but I'm going to have to get rid of it and get something else. Just sucks because it still has life in it. My wife still gets comments on it as the interior is the Black on Brick, which i think was not very common and it looks pretty good still.

Sell it to me. I'll scrub all the ground points and drive the crap out of it.

LOL, I'll let you know! I usually drag my feet on things. Its pretty crazy, KBB says it's like 2,500 to 3,500. That's crazy when I see a 2008 Rav4 going for 9k!!

I should just part it out!

How much damage?

Also, how long's it been since you disconnected the battery for at least thirty minutes?

New battery in spring of 2018.

I had the negative disconnected for over 30 minutes today. The other times at mechanics, I don't know.

It was rear ended on the right sode of the bumper in 2014.... That was about a 7,000 job the other drivers insirance picked up. They did a real nice job.

The rear drivers side door lock sometimes acts up and doesn"t lock or unlock. That was quoted at 700 and I saw some fixes online, but it has been behaving lately.

Needs new tires in the next 5k. I don't think there is any wheel rash on any rims.

The paint isn't mint for sure, but its not flaking off or rust spots.

We've had the car since 2013 and 48k on it.

Anyways, not sire what we'll do. My wife really likes the car and is attached to it, but its no good if it randomly stalls.

Understood.

There are five or six ground points in the engine bay. Two of them are for the fuel injectors.

Scrub every ground point in the engine bay. See what happens.

Referring back to your original post...you had issues, did the following above and you were good for 1,500 miles... "and then did it to me the other day." I'll assume, by your quoted sentence, that the same issue(s) have occurred.
You write that you've got oem sensors, not the cheap shits for $15. Where did you get them from? Do you know the oem branded name?
Often, it's actually the plug, either off the harness or the sensor that develops a poor connection to do corrosion. I had oil INSIDE my driver side camshaft sensor. NO OIL ANYWHERE AROUND THE SENSOR, but inside, where it plugged into the head. I replaced all of them after having read others with g's and z's replacing one due to a code only to then have to replace them all to fix the problem.
This all does pertain to the FX35 and the 45's v8 may have little in common with it's more popular v6. If you do get rid of it, go get a v6. :)
