What went wrong with your FX today?

Here is a brief history of my FX45. Not every oil change is listed. Some maintenance items I didn't list. I'm sure I missed some of brakes and tires. At 180K, it still looks and drives great. It has had a pretty rough life - I expect a lot out of it.

Here is what went wrong with my fx35 today service engine soon came on after i stepped on gas a little harder today then came the smell of rotten eggs in the cabin
 
Well went to a friends garage service and they used their new toy scanner and the problem was throttle body error tree codes got the throttle body's clean up and two new air filters and voila done
 
I was having that issue too and had to replace the sensors and then also replace both ducts. The Infiniti mechanic explained to me that for some reason the Infiniti ducts tend to get small cracks at the very end and that was also making the error codes pop up. Once I did all that have not have the issue that had been coming back and forth for over a year.
 
Yesterday my ac blower stop blowing air. Fuses and relay checked good. I swapped in a new blowrr and no juice. Im thinking the controller is bad. Before i tske it to tge dealer anybody has any other suggestion?
 
So last night when I was driving home I noticed that my drivers side HID is out. Today I decided to take it out and look at the bulb and noticed that there is basically no coolant in the reservoir. I have no clue what the hell is the issue with this Fx. By I just got a new radiator installed along with the hoses and thermostat and it’s still leaking somehow but nobody knows from where. I might just trade in this FX and get an all black qx70. The only thing is that I will lose the aero kit.
 
99% sure they didn't get all the air out of the system. 99% sure your FX is perfectly fine.
No detectable leaks, no coolant on the ground after having been driven and parked? Then the leak is in the mechanics head. :rofl:

It was fine for the last few weeks and I happened to look today and noticed the reservoir empty, I actually checked it a few days after I had the radiator and hoses replaced and it was fine then. It’s just weird by I don’t see any leak or smell any burning antifreeze.
 
The system gets hot enough for a long enough period of time AND/OR some more air that was trapped was then released another way (high rpm for another example) and the system pulled more coolant from the tank. No leaks, no milkshake in place of engine oil, this is it. Put distilled water in the reservoir and keep an eye on it until it remains full.

Lost a cap from the driver side roof rail. Not sure what happened, but one minute it was there, and an hour drive later, it was gone.
 
A/C compressor internals melted and cold air stopped flowing at 24k miles on my 2016. WTF. Fixed under warranty but that's a dumb failure at such a low mileage.
 
Need help. My radio and climate controls are not working. Picked up my FX50 at Discount Tire and my center dash/display was not on at all with no response to any button presses. DT had to use my spare tire so I decided to checked if amp cable was disconnected. To my surprise, the Batt and Gnd pins on the male connector to amp were completely out from the connector. I shut off the car, disconnected the amp connector, then inserted the pins per manual. The knob lights are back on but no response to any button presses. Display is still off. I had to take off for business trip so I cant troubleshoot until the end of week. I wanted to get some inputs from the forum before I start troubleshooting (check fuses, Voltage levels, etc). Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Disconnect your battery negative terminal for a few minutes, or a few hours, reconnect, see what happens.
 
Driver front lower control arm bushing had come to the end of it's life. Guess what! It's fused to the aluminium lower control arm so you need to replace the entire table. Cost me a pretty penny.

This has been the first thing to go wrong with my FX; and considering the state of our roads, I'm impressed the others are still fine.

I’ve had 3 error codes come up on my car after the EML light came on. They are P1585 Transmission Control Unit Inactive- Throttle Control Unit Malfunction, C1929 Active Steering (HICAS) Inactive - Air Suspension Front Compressor Relay Circuit Failure, and B2428 Rear Hatch - A/C Post Heater Sensor #2. Circuit Failure. Before I get it to a Dealer, I assume they are all linked, any ideas what rage cause may be? My Cruise control also won’t engage now….
 
If the car was running properly and all of a sudden a bunch of error codes show up, it is often related to a low voltage problem. It could be a battery that has deteriorated, or perhaps bad grounds.

Car was in the dealers today. Oil degradation has cause the EML light, and the cruise control won’t set if any EML is lit. Should get it back tomorrow, although bit disappointed that it also requires the rear strut brace replaced, and rear exhaust due to corrosion. Scottish winters have really taken their toll on the car….
