Here's the SCOTABC floor mats for the 2003-2008 FX35 & FX45. It took awhile to finally get them due to confusion on the part of SCOTABC between the 1st and 2nd generation layout. These are the first mats of this type to be made and sold for the 1st generation to my knowledge.
I think now that the confusion is cleared up, getting these mats in a timely manner won't be an issue. In my opinion, they are under priced. The fit is damn near perfect right out of the package. I'll apply a little heat with a blow dryer if needed to help them conform in a couple spots. There are some wrinkles here and bumps there, all from the shipping process, but they should relax. I love these mats.
They have built-in fasteners on the underside along the edges which aren't visible when installed. These tabs slip underneath the adjacent panels that the mat butts up against which keeps them locked in place. Great idea. I do wish there was one of these added on the driver side, in the photo below that shows my index finger pressing the mat in place. There's also a velcro-like material that covers 100% of the bottom of all mats that locks them in place. I'll let SCOTABC know about this area and hopefully they can start adding one here from this point forward. I'll figure something out myself to correct this, no big deal.
The mats are extended to tuck under and around the seats and they conform to the ebbs and flows of the floors shape really well. They feel good and seem to be very durable but I suppose only time will tell. Frankly, I'm going to start treating the FX like I do my home and take my shoes off before getting in. Ha! Actually, for a long drive I always have taken my shoes off and now my feet will be much more comfortable on these mats vs the Infiniti rubber ridged mats. Did I say I love these mats?
They weigh approx 5 lbs as compared to the concrete-like rubber Infiniti mats that weigh 14 lbs and the original carpeted Infiniti mats that weigh 12 lbs. I like to keep my FX meticulous, it's a curse, and I can already tell these will be much easier to keep clean. The only high wear area I'd be worried about is where the mats get all the heel action from accelerating and braking, but there's a hard plastic plate there to combat this.
I think the photos speak for themselves but hopefully my review helps ya'll out.
