The FX is alive and well, all in one piece.
I don't post much if at all on any forums. Moved to Seattle 6-7 years ago and have been busy with work and traveling. Had a Lexus GS350 F-Sport for a little while, it wasn't all that inspiring to mod. Hardly drive much here, my commute to work is a 5 minute walk.
Got a new car in May. This one is a little more inspiring and fun. This chassis reminds me of the front midship Nissans. Engine is shared across the S6/S7 and to a degree the RS6/RS6 and S8.
Stock, lowered with software.
Some recent goodies.
Some go fast waiting.
Whooping 1200 miles since May. Took forever to break the motor in and start romping on it.

Nothing exciting, few weeks ago moving the FX to friend's garage. Was trying to get stuck injectors worked out.

Had the aluminum sub frame polished for a little while, it was difficult to keep shiny so had it chromed. Spring buckets and all the GT Spec bars are chromed too.

Yeah I assumed chroming the exposed stuff is the way to go. New environmental crack down on chroming stuff is super killer though, drove chroming prices up and many places stopped offering it.
Any recent thoughts about selling? I know back in the day you said you had buyers back out, and that you had no reason to sell it if you didn't want to. I just imagine that eventually it would get tiresome finding places to store it safely and might become time to move on it if you aren't around or driving it.

I would probably sell the FX if someone wanted it, not something I would actively pursue. It's been paid off for a while and all the mods were basically paid for with cash. Have seen many cars get parted out because of cash flow and new projects. I couldn't imagine trying to do something like this again, it took a lot of dedication from a lot of people to get it done.
A few years ago we had a plan all devised to do a SC'd LS3 in there, but it was more time than I had available and I didn't want to saddle people with handling all the work needed to get it done right.

After 3 Blown engines that is what i did.....so if anyone is in search of some 22 Forged wheels or a Bodykit Pm me.....

LSx engine in there seems pretty feasible since there are TONS of guys swapping LS into 350/g35. That would be a cool project for sure but very costly I guess and ultimately not worth it at all unless you REALLY REALLY wanna spend the money

Ray! That sucks on the engine troubles. If I did not have Technosquare during my build it would have been much more challenging.
Yep, would have been fairly straight forward. Would have been a Sikky or Fueled Racing kit, built motor and Big ass Kenne Bell Supercharger. But you have to be committed to that to pull a working set up completely out to start on a new power plant.
