What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Changed the oil and filter
Only done 2500 miles ago but since I didn't have it then,who can be sure?
Must be the easiest I've done in a long time.
 
Finally figured out why my car would overheat every 4-5 months. Aftermarket coolant reservoir (Weapon-R) was leaking from the level gauge. Gauge was at same level as coolant hose so it would slowly leak out until air got into the system and then overheat. Today it finally blew out the hose and almost stranded me. Had to get a water bottle filled at a subway station to get home. Luckily I had the OEM tank laying around.
 
Dropped the FX off at the body shop getting a new front bumper and having faded side window pillars and trim fixed.
 
My new FX45 got its first oil change, went with Mobil1 Extended performance 5w-30 with Mobil1 filter.

- Ordered a few plastic push clips

- Ordered new sparkplugs NGK 6240 PLFR5A11. That will be my weekend update.

- Deciding which struts to get, either the KBY or the generic brand (ebay) - anyone used the struts from ebay? There are over $250 difference. The Auto shops want $1,000 to do the struts replacement.

- Tires will soon follow - trying to decide if I stay 265/50/20 Falken Ziex or go up to 275/55/20 Hankook Dynapro ATM2 or Continental CrossContact LX20. The decision to go up to 275 tire is to reduce the speed discrepancy (7%) slower. Dealer is "fixing" the issue next week, but the recall only corrects the discrepance 3.58%.

- Front Window tinting is on the list.

- Exhaust upgrade is on the list, still deciding to only change muffler or do a complete swap... Is Intake upgrade recommended for FX45? I dont want to lose torque at the low/mid RPMs range.

$1,000 includes parts & labor is too much. Around here, labor is around $250.
 
Yes, the $1,000 is the OTD cost.
It looks like I will need to convince the wife to leave one afternoon open for me to work on the truck :)
 
just replaced all the buttons for the ac controls. My old ones were peeling, what a difference it makes on the look of the interior

That too much for the wrap. Should be around $300 IMO. It's just 1-2 hours of work max.
