=ZebraFX= :: 2004 FX35 AWD

Work in Progress!
The new mods look great. The amber running lights are much nicer IMO. Also, your trim now matches my interior pieces. I love that 3M Brushed Vinyl. Very nice work, as always.

Nice Job Z
Thanks man.

Sheezzzz, what else left on your car that you have not modded. Great choice on those black aluminum wrap. The pieces looks way way better then CF. Great job as usual Zeee. :good:

I didn't mod the engine and transmission yet:ninja:. Hopefully we can make it happen soon

New camera placement should be how OEM setup should be.

Your car just gets nicer and nicer.

I love your headlights as well, I never paid much attention to them due to the absurdness of the rest of the car, but the headlights really look great...

Pictures are also epic as usual.

Thank you. Blacked out headlights make so much difference.

your FX is equivalent to fine wine, gets better as it ages. :good: , switching to amber led brings out the angle eyes.

Thanks. You right, actually never thought about it.

Thank you. 3M stuff is pretty good, very easy to work with

Do you guys think it will be hard to wrap the chrome part in the back where the button is to push and open the trunk. The chrome piece has Infiniti labled on it.

Definitely doable. You will need to remove this piece first and apply the 3M 94 primer, so it won't bubble around the lettering

Looks nice. I've wrapped a lot of my exterior chrome in black brushed as well. Getting ready to do the roof at some point when I wrap the whole car. Just need some time off work.

Thanks, man. Yes, these are the spring rates I have, 10K front and 12K rear. There were many members here that didn't like 8K up front, it was too soft. So, I decided to go with the higher spring rate up front. Love how the ride drives and handles.
Is the 12 K for the rear a standard or also a higher version...?? Further just for my own info.....is there any particular reason why you choose to stay with both front and rear 8,5 x 22 inch wheels. Being multipiece you could do anything you wanted. So just wondering why you kept that route.
Love the new vinyl over the CF also man.....props...!!

Yes, 12K is a standard rate on the rear. You can order any spring rates with BC coilovers(PM me if you need any new BC springs with higher rates or any other parts).

The wheels I bought used and dirt cheap on eBay, so I didn't buy them new. The deal was too good to pass. I'm very happy with the result. Here how the looked when I got them.

Ahhhh that explaines a lot. I am never that lucky to find suchs jems second hand. And the offset are still the rights combo and fit the body well :good:
I will keep the springs in mind. If i can i try to keep these as with all the SUMMIT ( GT SPEC ) going on it already is hard enough. But i did here some rubbing once at the front last week when i hit a nasty bump on the highway. Can also adjust the damping somewhat. I know from Koni Schocks that with that adjustment of theres you increase more the rebound damping then bound.....so outgoing. And for rubbing that is not what we want. Do you have any idea how that is with BC....??

I get occasional rubbing once-twice a week. I think Andy got my dampening dialed somewhere in the middle.

The dampening is set at the middle. Gotta have a little rub here and there to have fun now. I do get a rub here and there on big dip on the road or hard cornering.

BC damping is compression/rebound combined, not sure what Koni allows. Increasing damping helps with rubbing - up until recently I had mine set at maximum stiffness. Got the 14kg/mm springs from Zebra (highly recommend using him, good communication and info) and now in the rear I've set the damping to the middle range somewhere. It rubs much less than before and the ride is tolerable. Still waiting to get the front 12kg/mm springs in vs. 8. But I've run into some issues w/ the stabilizer links, need to get an impact wrench to get them off.

I rub daily, big dips, speed bumps, etc. Never on hard cornering unless I hit a bump but that's because the damping is set so high that cornering forces don't really move the suspension much. My car is also very low, basically as low as BC's go in rear w/ lockring removed and close to maxed out in front. My tires tuck the tread. In the rear, I rub on the bump where the door line is, can't roll that flat. Will maybe cut it out soon. On the front, I rub on the fender liner. I've rolled the front fenders flat and the tires have rubbed off the liner mounting tabs. When I have time, I'm going to heat the liner up and reshape.

^Thanks Shadow

Please help me decide. I just bought another set of used 20" wheels for winter, dirt cheap as usual:ninja:. Basically I have 2 sets for winter right now, one needs to go. I will be using my 19mm adapters.

First set, Bremmer Kraft 20"x8.5(perfect square set with +32 offset all around)
DSC01982_zpsd83e53f6.jpg
DSC01986_zpsb77c449b.jpg

Second Set, Gianelle Yerevan 20"x8.5(first two wheels on the picture are 8.5 with +40 offset)
DSC01962_zpsb34f4e5d.jpg
DSC01966_zps14b7bc0b.jpg

The thing is, I just found a dealer who can sell me 2 8.5" Yerevans to make it a square setup(second set), overall it will be $200 more than the Bremmer Kraft set.

I don't really know if it worth spending an extra couple hundreds and time to sell the 10.5 rears(Yerevan). Let me know what you think. Thanks in advance

I think i would go for the Bremmers and paint the center or outter rime gold or something. You know the Forged gold you see in those BBS racing wheels they have on these racing porsches GT3's etc.
Are the gianelles multi piece.....the outter rims seems anodized and that is not something you want to drive around with in the winter time. So that is why i would choose to paint the bremmers as well.......no polish...chrome....anodized in winter time ;-)

P.s: Gianelle's do look bigger though......but as i always tell my clients here a wheel doesn't always have to look big/bigger depending on the style/look you are going for. Good luck with your choice.

Thanks Raymond. Gianelle's have clear coated center and chrome lip, they are cast wheels. Bremmer's have polished lip and clear coated face. I'm also concerned how the chrome lip on Gianelle's will survive salt and chemicals.

None will survive....that is a fact. The way i did in the past is drive one season with the as is and paint them after that for the next season. You have something different again :-)
Or paint them right away in something funky......as it is "just ffor winter time" .......gold centers.....blue lip.....or the otherway around.......why not.....just because you can....haha.

^^^Thanks for the feedback folks. Still undecided. Bremmer's look smaller for sure, here are some quick chops
