=ZebraFX= :: 2004 FX35 AWD

Work in Progress!
There are Graphite color, pretty dark color in person, doesn't look that dark on the picture. I refinished my old wheels by myself. We'll install them tomorrow and post some pictures:)

So recently I ended up with 2 Z-tubes. One is made by Stillen from plastic, another one is made by LMS from steel, I think(both came from FX35). Which one will perform better and why the LMS tube is slightly longer than Stillen, what you think guys?
PS I will be using one with Stillen CAI Kit.
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

My guess, the LMS will not need the oe corrdian looking flex tube where the Stillen would require that piece.

Lms it should fit perfectly, have you tried?

I saw on org, lms and Stillen looked great.

Didn't try it yet, want to install both plenum spacer and Stillen CAI kit at the same time, they are still unopened in my storage...
After some reading, guess that I don't need a throttle body spacer? Correct me if I wrong.

PS the only LMS tubes I've seen were longer than this one with MAF sensor opening built in, I don't have one on mine though.

I'd use lms just because it has a bracket...

Tbs- throw it on if it fits with lms. It won't hurt but gains are not material.

Stilled looks to be a larger diameter, I wonder if that produces increased flow?

You asked which one would perform better, well I think when it comes down to this, it won't even make a big enough difference that matters between the two. Gains are pretty minimal anyways. Personally, I would go with the LMS one just because its metal and it has the badge on it that kind of matches your car. The sound could be a little different too, who knows.

OK, will see if it fits alright with TBS.
PS Just measured the inside diameter on both tubes:
Stillen-73.65mm
LMS-71.95mm

Just finished installing the 06 Cluster in my car.

Before:
Cluster with chrome peeling around the dials, glad it came that way, one more DIY challenge for me:smug:
