You know you drive an FX when...

Imagine the look on my girlfriend's face when she found out I was getting 22s. It was not a good weekend....."But honey, I'm buying la_fx35's 'old' 22s! I need new tires anyways!" :alien:

+1, or pray they just don't notice......then pull the classic "oh this old thing"? "I've always had a BBK"...... =)

If mine ask about my BBK.... I'll say painted the calipers, put on some decals, and drilled holes in the rotors while waiting for the paint to dry. Then I'm sure she'll say... wow they look so nice & big....I'll say... Yeah, I know. ....Well mine knows about my BBK order. So I'm ok for now.

damn JB thats a lot of complaints lol.
My FX was upset I wanted to get rid of it
Fx is nothing like a Murano. Totally different platform and parts....Whoever said that must know nothing about cars.
tell me about it, I have to explain it every time...its based of the 350z, yadda yadda

Yeah, like doing a cold start rev once is going to destroy the car...look at the date it was added and when I started having CEL issues...lmao
The drifting....mehhhhh yeah thats what the alignment issues are from haha but I havent really been doing that since two winters ago,....literally 5 times since then

Word! You and I should have a "haul-off" thread. Last month a had a full size cellulose insulation blower, 50' of flexible hose and 9 cubes of insulation packed in the fx. It was intense. Another big one recently was 6 chairs from a dining room table set and a passenger.

Tell me about it, two semester's worth of clothes, some furniture, some appliances, all stuffed in there....the fx squats haha I wish it was that low usually.

lol no wonder jb has so many complaints to make..the car takes a beating from him to begin with....
yeah, a beating:wink: But I still take care of it

you know you drive an fx when you speed obnoxiously to try to see if its a modded fx up the road to show your mods and give the thumbs up haha.

helll yeahhhh

How would you know that the cold start/rev sounded good enough to shoot the video if you only did it that once? In the IS thread where that video was originally posted (along with the post cold start fly-by clip), you said:
yeah i know it's bad for it LOL....
but it sounds sexy. I've only like punched it like that in the cold literally 3 times total. not looking to do it again either haha. and it wasnt THAT cold....it had been running 2 hours prior to the video.....but yeah. i know. tsk tsk
...

I was only trying to illustrate that the issues you mentioned are not normal, and that you have for a long time subjected your FX to an extremely high level of "use", which COULD at least partially explain your issues.

I'd suggest taking down all those youtube videos if you really want to sell that FX.

Are you really trying to start something over this? :confused.:
Half the reason I got all the chassis bracing was winter drifting, which I have stopped doing as much because I realize what it screws with on the car (i figured bracing would help with chassis flexing, take stress off suspension, rolling, etc). And you should notice all of those vids are from around the same time period, after which I realized "I probably shouldnt do this drifting stuff as much"
Yeah, I cold started and revved out the car a handful of times because it "sounded cool", it happens, Im sure most people here have done it intentionally and unintentionally. The video? taken over two years ago.
The CEL problems? 1 is from the Kinetix HFCs, installed after the video, the other is deff water getting somewhere....dont think thats from cold starting. Yeah, cold start revving is bad for the car but give me a break.
And since your on my ass about this, maybe you should notice the "new car" thread was removed and I am keeping the FX, stated in my Update thread.
geez man sometimes you seem cool other times you're just annoying.

My popcorn is in the microwave. Let the drama begin.... Seriously you guys should cut the conversation short after my post. Anyways....

You know you drive an fx when you know that those OEM 20s are the best looking stocks out there

Yeah. Drama free thread! You know you drive an fx when your brakes squeak when your reversing on those early cold mornings haha

...you hear horror stories about car troubles and can't remember the last time you had an unplanned maintenence expense.

Yeah I may take advantage of the TSB because Im sick of where my HK ipod screen is located so by them replacing the dash where it was mounted will be good as new :)
