I got bored of my stock beryllium paint color and decided to wrap my FX matte white. I didnt like the stock rim color on the matte white so I plastidipped them black. I have spacers and a resonator delete. The roof is wrapped in carbon fiber.

For reference:

-Matte white wrap was $180USD incl shipping to my house (1.52m X 30m)
-The wrap supplier also threw in a carbon fiber wrap which I used on the roof, door handles, side view mirror caps and interior trim for $25USD (1.52m X 5m)
-Heat gun for the wrap cost $20CAD
-5 cans of black Plastidip for rims and grill were $50CAD
-ICHIBA 35mm rear spacers were $80CAD
-ICHIBA 25mm front spacers were $70CAD
-Resonator delete was $50CAD
-In total i spent about $475CAD/USD to completely revamp my FX

-Wrapping and plastidipping took around 45 hours, spacer install took 2 hours and resonator delete took 30 minutes at a local shop.

I know many people opt for 3M or 3M certified vinyl wrap which runs about $500 in Canada. Being a noob at wrapping, however, I decided to purchase a cheaper wrap and save myself 300 bucks incase i screwed it up. The wrap I used was exactly the same as 3M wrap... it had air channels, was extremely pliable under heat and worked just as well as my friend's 3m wrap which he used on his nissan rogue. In the final comparison between my cheaper wrap and his 3M wrap we found that both are exactly the same in terms of the vinyl's overall quality, texture, thickness and color.

I think it looks much better than stock and it definitely turns heads...

What do you guys think?

(Sorry for the bad pic quality, my phones camera sucks... Ill use my other camera and post better pics when I have the time)

The wrap was only$180? Is that price correct? You have a sound clip/video of the resonator delete? Looks really good, I like matte white! :good:

$180 in vinyl? Really? Do you know how long it will last? Who's the manufacturer? That's is dirt cheap in material.

Thanks for the compliments guys. la_fx35, I talked to the supplier and he guaranteed it for 3 years. He said it has an expected lifespan of 6 to 9 years depending on the temperature and weather in your area. Its made by some chinese company. As I stated above, in my opinion 3M material and this material are very very similar and after the install i cannot see any reason why I should go with 3M over this stuff lol.

Or matte silver

the back side of the vinyl, does it have round patterns or squarish?

matte white was squarish (similar to my friends 3m di-noc), carbon fiber had round patterns. both worked well.

That is a good looking FX. Once the wrap gets beat up on wifes Cooper (and its already getting there) matte white is on the list
