Wow this stuff is endless :P

Hmm, no love for the VK engine? Cause I see S2 CAMS on JWT listed for $1200. So S2 CAMS cutom order?

hah! 300+ WHP would be plenty of love for me =) Custom - That's what our buddy Ben @ JWT said.....he also said they would be setting up the next grind late summer. Going to give him a call (he is used to hearing from me) to see where we stand.....

how times flies, my fx is 2006 and my mods sorta ended :ninja: , of course my pockets are empty too.

would love to see your fx's transformation tho. :wink (2):

I'm having my brake calipers painted blue tday .... Just didn't like the stock silver color of the fx50 brakes ..... Also having some wheel spacer made tmorow to give the car a good stance ..... As for the forced induction, I'm finding it really difficult to choose between turbo or S/C :confused :(

The supercharger apparently does not require forged internals... But not much power gain.... From the looks of things i think I'm going to try and get a JWTturbo kit and retune it to around 350-380 whp ... At least until I get enough cash until I can forge the internals .... Of course I am going to strengthen the transmission (VB , transgo shift kit, and trans cooler) .... Oh yea is it recommended that I buy a larger radiator?? Is it bad for the turbos if I lower the boost ? Thanks guys !

This is about one of the smartest things I have heard in a long time. I totally agree with the JWT approach.

Turbos provide boost throughout an RPM range. It doesn't matter to the turbo if you ask it to give you 5psi or 10psi. In fact, running turbos at lower boost pressures will extend their expected life.

The JWT will give you around +150whp and at 375whp to the rear wheels, I wouldn't think you need to build the internals, even for the future. You can turn up the boost as high as the tuner is comfortable with on stock internals. The 350Z guys have plenty of turbo builds on stock internals. Do some forum searching to find examples.

Hey brad!
150whp is more than enough for me! But what is the bosst level that it is set at to get these power numbers?

Yea im goin to check the 350z forums for any extra info and i will get back with u guys

Oh yea when u said 375 who at the rear wheels... What about my AWD system? Ugh i wish i had a RWD setup

I think 375whp is totally realistic from an AWD JWT TT. Maybe even a little low.

Based on my own single turbo setup, I can tell you I hit 300whp at 6psi. I would expect 400whp to be somewhere between 10-12psi. 430whp is 16psi for me.

Your AWD will produce a higher drivetrain loss of power, but you should be able to reach 375-400 with the right boost level. Also, smaller twin turbos will spool up more quickly than a single, providing boost in the 2800rpm range or lower.

The UpRev Osiris software has torque management features that allow your tuner to protect the transmission by limiting torque input. This is one of the things that will add reliability long term.

Hey Brad!
I believe my setup will be around 8-10 psi most of the time provided my car can handle it
So from what i can understand.... The lower the rpms range that the turbo opens, the less turbo lag that i will face... Is that correct?

I seriously cant wait to complete this setup! .... I will definetly post some comparsion videos of before and after .... Plus i will use this thread to update with the build .... Right now i am in the process of looking for the best tuner possible... Mainly tuners that specilize with 350's and g35's .... Hope all goes well

Thnks guys!

Please post pics of your pockets. Aiya still believes you have cash to spend on your ride.

Just found a thread from the 350z motoring forum ... looks like 350 to 400 whp is the safest bet ... some of them are even running 450 whp .... one guy started stating that today risk of blowning the engine is "under 10%" .... obivously that is witha really good tune of course

here is the link to the site

http://www.350zmotoring.com/forums/modifications-technical/54044-stock-block-potential.html

I checked the JWT website, they said that the expected power gains are around 125 WHP .... thats around 350 whp for me :wink (2): ..thats fine with me .... but not sure what level of boost that is though ... this will be it at least until i purchase a long block package in the near future ....
