Would anyone here do a test with their AWD FX35/45 for me?

I am trying to troubleshoot the issue I posted about in my other thread. I suspect this may be transfer case related. I have found that if I am on hard or gravel surfaces and lock the AWD with the lock button, and turn a semi tight circle at slow speed, there is an obvious noise that seems to come from the rear diff but that could be after effect of the transfer case clutches not working correctly. It may also me brake related, I am just not sure yet but I do not believe when the FX is in AWD lock on gravel it should have obvious noises.

If I invoke AWD lock in a straight line, I have no issues at all.

What's the noise sound like. Is it ticking sound by any chance?

Determined that whatever locker they use in the rear diff is doing something odd. What is more odd is the service manual doesn't even show a locker but I can assure it has one. When turning it sort of grabs and lets go. I might compare it to a modded car with a posi in it. I know on GM, if someone changes the fluid and does not put the right additive in them, they are temperamental.

It’s not uncommon on many limited slips, that’s how you check the clutches. The friction modifier might help, but I’d be really surprised if your Infiniti has LSD.

I can’t find an OEM one for a second gen at all. I believe my 2003 sports model may have had one, although I never heard those noises from it. 236,000 miles
