Would a 10.5 wide wheels fit?

few posts up easygoer just said he's running 10.5 no problem, his fx is no different from yours. 10.5 will fit, several are running 10.5. vendors are always going to be very conservative in there recommendations, if someone else has run it then it fits regardless of what a vendor says

I was patiently waiting for your input. I saw that he is running 22x10.5. I was thinking that the 20x10.5 (since it isn't as tall) may come in contact with the suspension components. Maybe I need to get one of these wheels and try it. If it doesn't fit it then at least I'll know.

However I am not sure if I want to pony up the cash just to find out. And quite honestly I'll have to run the 265s on them as I am still remodeling/putting an addition on my house. That isn't optimum, well except for the hellaflush or VIP crowd.

I live in Richardson, TX 75081. Right now my wheels + tires are off ( because the cold weather ). If you have a chance drop by I will let you try them on your FX.
( 22 +10.5, offset 43 mm + 305-22 Pirelli ).

That is most awesome of you!!!! I thank you very much!!!! Shoot that's a lot to offer with those high dollar wheels you have!!!

Just saw your signature update LOL! If it's a secret you would have gotten a nice SHINY exhaust with BLUISH titanium tips! :-)

Hahaha...no one here expects that V8 sound to be coming from an FX. Apparantly it envokes stares and people seem quite curious when they find out that it was a factory installed V8 lol (don't they know this thing is old hahaha).

Ok folks I ordered the wheels. Anyone care to guess which ones they were?

Are you referring to SIZE or the maker of the of wheel? For goddsakes man just tell us!

Indeed it would be impossible to guess. Here they are...

VERY NICE-10.5 is going to look meaty.....! Looking forward to seeing those on the ride, when do you plan on "mounting up"?

Probably about a month, after I test fit the clearances when I get them. Might try and stretch out the 265s, but I highly doubt I will and will end up getting 295/45/20 instead. Cheap lightweight 20s FTW!

I'm down with that formula. looking to squeeze a little extra drop out of my H&R's to cover the gap maybe a 1/2 coil cut in the front and changing out a rubber mount on the back (looking for 1/2" in the front and the rear). Again, nice wheel choice boss.

Post pics of the before and after if you can. I am interested in how much lower it looks and if there are ay trade offs in ride quality.

Glad you pulled the trigger ... and SSR, nice!
Thanks. I think they finally went bankrupt lol.

Those are nice wheels!
Thanks!

With a stage name like "Sexual Chocolate" you would expect anything less.....? :)
LOL!

those rims are nice, but they will look small when mounted on the FX (especially with a stretch tire)
Yes they will look small. The purpose is to go back to lighter wheels. These weigh in at 30.8lbs a piece! Much better than the 22s (which I may keep) or the stock wheels.

Lip loss?
Yep. I think they may be kind of small lips. THis may not be a bad thing as the larger the lip the smaller they will look. Maybe the satin finish will sort of the match DG. Here's to hoping!

Having gone to a 22" wheel, going back to a 20" for winter makes the wheel look small.
Yeah. 22s are awesome. This will be for about a year. Plus I might keep the 22s if I don't like the way these look. But man oh man those 20s make the FX feel spunky again!

They arrived!!!
