Worth keeping OEM springs?

Hello all. Im getting H&R's installed tommorrow and was wondering if its worth keeping the stock springs or not. They currently have 60K miles on them. I remember reading a post about how the sport and non sport are the same springs. The only differences between the packages are the wheels, lights, trim, etc, etc. but mechanically everything is the same. So should I keep them or trash them at the install shop? I have too much junk in my garage already from my previous cars and motorcycles and Im running out of room.

I threw mine in the H&R box and stored them. They are technically not a "serviceable" item and should last the life of a car. I ended up sending them to someone who wanted them for shipping costs. I know how you feel on old car parts. I typically hold onto them for 6 months, then if I don't sell or give them away, I throw them out.
 
I still have mine as well, but now that I have the coil-overs and will get rid of the OEM shocks & struts, I think I'll get rid of the OEM springs. It would be cheaper to buy new coil-overs than it would to switch back to OEM suspension for me at this point.
 
LOL, seem like everyone still have their OEM springs. I thought I'm the only one. Yea, I also had mine in the attic. I still have the OEM exhaust. Hahaha, not sure why though. I still have room for the junk, I guess.
 
I just throw it out.... garbage... I've got enough "good" garbage to hang on to I guess though & not enough space for the mediocre garbage, but, that being said, I've also seen guys trying to sell used springs too & I've also seen guys buying them as well, so I guess technically they do have some value... not to me though:tongue (2): if they were 20-30k miles & very clean then maybe... otherwise toss them :smile (2): same with old exhaust... gone...
 
I just leave my parts at other peoples homes, my stock mid pipe is at my wife's grandmas house and my stock muffler is up in Santa Cruz at my mother-in-laws.
 
dayum maybe I should toss some of my garbage I still have the oem springs, The eibach with the kyb set up..... even my old exhaust. just saving just incase someone is in need I will send them for shipping cost besides u never know.
 
I'm sure they have some metal value. Try the Blue can.
I'm really no one to talk. Mine are in a box in the garage somewhere

Yep, Have my stock springs in the H&R box with me in Hesperia...my stock exhaust is back down in South Gate hiding in the corner of a garage where I used to live. I have some wheels and a subwoofer box from my other car sitting in that garage too.....

Can you take the stock exhaust to a metal recycle place and get money for it?

And that's why were all men, and women want to throw out all our shit. It must be a security thing or something, . . Always holding to on to stuff we think we may need some day, yet forget we actually have it somewhere, until they want to chuck it.
Btw, how many of us have a box of cords, power adaptors and USB cables with no idea what device they belong to? It's like they breed or something. Yet the wives don't evn own or stow not one cord in their box of goods.

But never cords, & we all know those springs are never going back on . . even if you were bringing back to stock for a sale
