Wiring angel eyes dimmer?

Hey guys I finally got around to pulling my headlights and installing my angel eyes. My question is where would you tap into for the + and -, I would like them on even when the rest of my lights are not, I have a rf dimmer so turning off won't be an issue, but I want the power only when ignition is on. Any help with wire colors and or pictures would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
 
You would need to get a 12v relay. Basically you wire the relay to positive and negative, then there is a signal line that you tie into some source within the engine compartment that goes hot only when the engine is running. Then you tie the line out of the relay to your angel eyes. I'm speaking in generalities because I haven't done it yet, but will be doing that for my similar setup.
 
I think Im just going to to do the DTRL always on mod and tie into them. I appreciate your answer, But all I need is a hot wire under the hood or in the battery compartment that is only hot when the ignition is on. I have read other post where people want to tie into dome and puddle lights to work with the keyfob and so on. Yes in that case i would need a relay and resistor, but not in my case all I need is an easy positive tap that is only hot when the ignition is.
