Wiring aftermarket sub box and amp. Just checking!!!

ok all, any help would be greatly appreciated! I am just verifying my plan before I go buying aftermarket parts for my 2003 FX35. From what I have read, i can install a sub box and amp, while utilizing some wires already in the sytem. I am deleting the spare tire set up all together. I am going to run a power wire from the battery back to the trunk (any advice on route would help). Then I am going to use the "pink" wire for the remote amp turn on...however I did read that it's voltage is too low, so I need to get some sort of component to make it 12vdc. what is that? Also, I am going to run a new ground wire to the amp. The last question I have is this.......with no RCA outputs from the head, I can use the black/white wires to the amp, which is the sub signal wires. however, i have read these are low level, and some say high level. what are they? also, do most amps have a speaker wire input or just RCA? I know I can buy one of those boxes where it switches speaker wire to RCA, but if i dont, then I dont want to. any step by step help would be appreciated!!!!

P.S. also i got a tr-4 for the low level remote turn on for the amp. did anyone that has done this used the 12vdc thats wired to the stock sub already for power? one big question i have is that i bought a mono amp, but it still has left and right inputs. i know the stock bose sub has a single input high level speaker wire. so with only one positive and one negative input from the head unit, how do you get a left and right input for the sub amp??

well i hooked it up today, and no problems! i found out that the pink remote wire is in fact, 12volts. someone was saying it was 6v, but it worked fine. i wired the 2 existing bose signal wires to my mono amp, and ran a dedicated power and ground wire. i put the amp inside the spare tire where the bose box used to be, on a round board. i actually had to turn down the gain and turn off the bass boost on my amp because there was too much base! i noticed a little shuddering with the subs at high volume every now and then, when the music was quiet. does that mean the gain has to go down even lower?
