I need new wiper blades for my 2009 fx50. I measured the blades and driver side is 23" and passenger side is 19". Has anyone gone with any other brand besides the oem? I was looking at PIAA, there are a few lines from them...anyone with any experiences on them?
 
Never used anything else on my FX but OEM. I did try out those Rain-X latitude blades at Walmart on another car. Their kind of pricey, but they get the job done and streak free. Six months later and their still holding up pretty well. I think I paid like $35 for the fronts alone. Their also built flimsy like OEM too.

I would just go with oem if I were you. I just replaced my rear wiper and it was only $20 at the dealer. I used to have michelins on my other car but they can get really pricey even at Walmart.
 
I think i'm going to go oem or piaa.
I read up how the piaa silicone blades actualy applies a coating on the windshield which help repels rain. But then again i use this type of glass cleaner after washing my car which also say it helps repels rain..
I'm actually hearing lots of good things about piaa wipers on line while im searching. Just a bit confuse from their product lines.. they have a super sporza silicone which has aerodynamic spoiler to reduces Llift. Does that actually work?
 
Clean your windshield good. Wipe it dry. Apply a nice thick coat of Rain-x on all windows, wash your car. Buy a nice new set of oem wipers and you'll be all set for a while.

I replaced the oem's on my 09 fx with bosch icons and have been happy so far. To be honest, I don't really see a big difference btw the two. They both work well.
 
i've actually been using the oem ones off my subaru forester. fit perfectly, and after 2 years of use, still clean like new. they come with the new foresters and look like the valeo wipers from tirerack. cost about $30 for the set. would def consider buying them again if and when these wipers need replacing!
