Very nice!!!

What did the winter do to your Chromes? I just purchased a 45 with Chrome and I live in the Denver metro area. Was it the Mag Chloride?

Salt, water, ice... the water gets in crevices and freezes, starts the splitting/cracking process. The salt helps make the crevices for the water/ice to start destroying.

Claude (PullingMaxGs) has chrome OEM 20's on his white FX and he keeps them IMMACULATE by literally waxing and polishing his rims... often I believe. When I saw them they were stunningly flawless

I think as long as you keep a boundary layer between the chrome and the elements, you'll be fine. The problem is, maintaining that is a ton of work if you look at it over a period of a year.

2 years of salt ate the chrome away and it caused bubles ont he front and corrosion wher eht espokes mee the wheel in the back. it was terrible! as long ad you take car of them you should be okay, but im jsut doing ti as a procaution

What model year are they off? I thought the OEM 18" wheel were the gunmetal twists? They were on my FX anyways...

Look forward to seeing them on the car.

+1 I clean my wheels and then put a coat of turtle wax ice on without any buffing.
I repeat this at every wash. Before I started doing this it was difficult to rub out the staining but now just wipes right off.
I have my stock 18's so I will most likely be painting or powder coating them black and mount some Hannkook I Pikes maybe with studs for winter months. Hope to have this done for next winter.

JBaker I saw, I like and hot dam the wheels look good. can't wait to see them on your ride.

Nice Job John on the paint job.

day went from good to bad...

woke up, excited for my new wheels!
went to turbocad's, picked em up, they are AWESOME(forgot camera so...no pix)
threw them in the back, drove out to long island, got to the dealer, dropped my car and the wheels off, then waited patiently for the callthat my car is ready :)

then, i get call--the tire company sent 260's instead of 265's.........
the dealer had the tires since monday...they couldnt check them then and save me a 50 minute drive?

he said the tires will be in tommorow,
so the dealer has my FX and my new wheels,
and im stuck with a loaner car.....an FX50S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JK....its a g35x sedan.....

but yeah. this is uber annoying.

urghh:mad:

the wheels are awesome though. still can't wait for them to be on.

I think they're yanking your chain Jordan - tire sizes come in increments of 5....there is no 260.

255, 265, 275, 285 etc etc.......
