Windscreen washer fuse

My washer has stopped working. I thought it couldn't be empty because surely the car would have told me.
It seems not.
So maybe my trying to use it empty has blown the fuse??
Anyway trying to check is a chore. I've found the location behind the battery but I can't get the cover off the fuse box!
I pulled up but that just lifted the whole thing.
Any tips please?
 
Did you get it working? The nozzels can become clogged (especially if not used often) and need to be soaked in vinegar to remove deposits. You might want to check to see if this is your issue. That's assuming the motor runs fine of course.
 
Fuse all good. What a Pita to check though.
The pump is kaput. It's all rusty inside and the brushes are worn away. You can't really open them up but I managed it with some effort. Any way a new one is on its way to me.
Thing is I noticed while under the wheel arch that any water running over the front light area lands straight onto the water bottle and pumps so it's no wonder mine was rusty inside. I'll try to protect the new one.
