I spent the weekend in Miami, which meant the windows were constantly put up and down; on my drive home I went to put the passenger window up and the window looks shifted over about 1/2 inch, can only tell because of my tint, and its not behind the rubber edging. It looks like at the bottom of the window, on the outside, the rubber seal is twisted. Now every time the window goes down I have to push it over while I slowly lift it up, what should I do? I don't think water is getting in the space where the rubber is twisted, but I don't want to leave it be and have my electric all effed up.

here are those pictures, in the first one see how its so far to the right? and the second one shows that the window isnt going into the slot, its simply going outside of the door, and the third picture shows how the rubber trim is twisted at the bottom, i always have to hold it out so the window doesnt go on the outside of it.

You may want to take the interior panel off and the inside metal door panel to take a look before buying a new piece. Seems like its off track or something obstructed it path.

Yeah I would check to make sure that it just isn't off track first, you don't want to spend any funds if you don't have to [emoji16]

It's not too hard to get the door and panel off. The service manual shows where all the mounting points are that you pop out, and then the rest is screws and bolts. I think the hardest part was dealing with wires and stuff that I couldn't unclip. I ended up just propping the panel up on a stool next to the door.

So I took it to a local mechanic just to see if they could do it for like 30 bucks, but they said my regulator is broken, that it cant possibly be off track. I am going to try and attempt to fix it myself because they are the cheapest mechanic around and they want $300.

So did the shop took the door panel off to come to that conclusion? If not, I would take the panel off and check it out first. To me if the regulator is "broken", you would not be able to roll the glass up/down.

Exactly what I said, they didn't even look at the window rolling up or down before they said, "regulator is broken". I figured it out though, that twisted rubber trim was the problem just like I expected, I managed to find a way to cut it and the window is going back in like it use too. On my driver side window none of the trims touch, and Im supposing the passenger trim lost its adhesive due to that side of the car constantly being kept facing the sun. No big deal!(y)
