Widebody FX

I can't remember, been to the track so many times over the years. Think this was mostly a G35 meet day. The paddles didn't shift very well is the only thing I can remember from that day. Miss my FX, weather in Seattle blows!!!! Wouldn't drive it around here even if I had it up here with me.

Do you recall who was in the other FX?
Didn't know you ever had paddles?

I hear you about the weather. I have many relatives in Washington, Seattle and Tacoma mostly and the weather pretty much suks.

Yeah, had paddles long ago. This was before redoing the seats a second time. hahahha

5 stars for your car :smile (2):. honestly your car is the reason I am so interested in the FX.....after seeing the level you took it to I gotta have one. One question what color blue is that?

I can't remember if we changed the base coat or not, but the color is a mix of color from house of kolor.

I miss my FX!?!?!?!!!?!?!

Washington is predictably gray. Was in socal last week and early this week for TED. I do miss home, miss showing the FX too. Destroying the competition is fun. hahhahahah

Hey Viet,

Question, with you also being for estatics i recently discovered a topic on my350Z about the removal of the oil cooler/warmer removal mod.
It seems that quit some 350Z drivers has done this and it realy cleans up the engine bay as well.
You'd probably read about this as well, as the topic starts in 2008 i was just wondering why you did not decide to do this.

Here is the link: http://my350z.com/forum/forced-induction/334076-oil-cooler-warmer-removal-13.html

Ray - I think Rookie did remove the oil cooler, and I did as well on my application. With forced induction I have not noticed any negative effects from removing it.

removed it completely or replaced with a cooler core in the grille area?

you can replace the bs coolant cooler with an adapter that will give you AN in & out, then run a real cooler in the bumper/grille, which is the best thing to do really...

Hey guys...!!

I honestly did not know you deleted this also. I have the B&M cooler also so stumbled on to this connection issue at the oil filter location.

Now my real question on this is the following. I still am surching for a estatic and best way to get the water feed and return line from for my GT35R turbo.
Now i was thinking of using the tube that comes out of the thermostat wich everyone weld close and use that as a feed line and connect the return line on to the water pipe on the drivers engine side wich also needs to be closed up when doing this mod.
That way i do not have to close bot tube and have use for them in my set-up.
But i was doubting if the tube at the thermostate was continiuosly open.

What are you thoughts about this. Didn't want to open a whole new tread about this.

Droppin it in

Viet is there any specific reason why you kept the Waterhoses for the Heather OEM. I was think of doing some Goodridge there as well as i thought you had done that also so could be done, but looking again at your photo's i see you kept them original.

Form fitted hoses in that area are much easier to work with. Making steel braided lines bend can be a bitch, steel braided lines are also gonna scratch the crap out of anything they touch so I used it only where I could manage it.

OEM clamps are spring loaded steel, made for the OD of the oem rubber hose. I would compare the 2, you may or may not be able to get the oem clamp onto the steel braided hose.
