Why you chose the 35 or a 45?

Both are fun to drive . . more or less the same ride
& I dont regret for one moment that I got the 35. I love the sound of my Nismo edition V6, & I don t find the engine buzzy, & I do like to tinker with it, mods n' all. It doesnt have the same low grunt, but up high it wails . . still though, I wouldve been happy 45'in just the same . . Oh, & if it had been a 45, it would've been a de-badged 45

I cannot really explain it. The 45 is noticeably faster but the 35 is like the little engine that could; it has to work harder to keep up and it is just fun. It has a distinctly different feel to it that I find more entertaining. I guess part of it is because you really build RPMs with the 35 to get equivalent acceleration; the 45 is almost too effortless at times.

Gotcha GJ :tup::cool:

Bought the 35 over the 50 (09') because it was time to be concerned about MPG. Never even test drove the 50, because I knew I would like its performance.

The 35 does come with an Ipod interface in the center glove box, but never use it.

Perfectly summarized.

IT was really a no brainer for me. It was just waiting for me. In the process of choosing the right XUV I just wanted the best.

The best was the 45. Power right out of the box and that gritty " I'll kick your ass if u try it" exhaust note with torque that is unmistakable.

Take a number.

It actually never came to mind at the time, I saw a 35 and wanted one...just because of the exterior design. I don't think I even knew there were 45's. If I could do it again I would get a RWD FX35 not AWD.

Edit: I want a FX50 next

I wanted the 45, but no need for AWD in FL. Plus I can't stay still so gas would have been a problem for me. There aren't many FX's here in Orlando, so FX kicks ass regardless.

The last car I had did 0 - 60 in 5.6. It didn't have a back seat or a metal roof. Got divorced and suddenly found myself with the need for a back seat for a munchkin carrier. The 45 was an affordable pre-owned that was close in the 0-60 dept. Then I drove one. The flat handling was still heavy compared to an S2000, but better than any other SUV I had driven.

The S2000 is such a great car. Glad you were able to find a good compromise in the FX though.

I'm using the tape deck cable to my ipod...works just the same as Aux I suppose....

Eh... tape deck? What is this tape deck you speak of? Not sure I'm familiar with such an interface.

LOL Seriously did the 03-05 FXs have a tape deck? Because for the 06-08s besides an Aux in our only other option is a FM modulator, which IMO sucks major monkey balls.

that tape deck has to be one of the biggest jokes going on the first gen fx's, I mean here they were, introducing a state of the art modern marvel & then they decide to put a tape deck in the dash  at least the rear entertainment system wasn't vhs based:cool: I had no reservations at all in eliminating the tape deck in my dash, no sense of loss at all...

Hey man, that's what you get with the Blows... I mean Bose premium sound system. I would take an 8 track over a tape deck. At least there's more novelty in an 8 track.

true whats so luxury about a tape deck???? unless you were living in the early 80's early 90's it would have being agreat option!!!! lol.. i do use it for my ipod/phone tho..
