Why only 0.6 boost with stillen stage 4

Hi guys,

I have a stillen stage 4 set up but the boost will only go up to 0.6 and not the 0.8 which people have with the stage 4 kit..Pullies and belts are tight so can not find out why the boost will only go up to 0.6..My mechanic said that maybe its because I have DC ceramic headers....Any one have any ideas or views..Please let me know.

headers will cause less boost on the stillen sc for sure, even stillen tells you that...

Yeah man Im pretty sure on the site it even says to not change the headers

+1 - Talked to Stillen about this - they say the blower was designed for the stock manifold and needs the back-pressure to work properly.

you can also get a custom smaller pulley made to give you back the missing boost

Isn't .6bar equivalent to 8.7psi? I thought stage 4 should only be hitting around 8psi in the first place.

what I don't get is, yes I would expect the boost #'s to go down, but really it should still make as much, if not more power than without headers anyway, so why do they advise against it so much? maybe because it also will shift the torque curve up a bit, but still, I don't get the total advise against it thing..
