Who has actually done the FX50 exhaust?

Starting a new thread...mainly because nobody has written anything here for so long! I'm not exactly an early adaptor, but I'm anxious to do something!

So, has anybody done one lately? Can you do the Invidia without any modifications, in other words, will it bolt straight on? How bout the Borla? Does anybody have any new vid. clips or sound clips? Also, are there any new mods for the 50 that I might have missed?

I guess the reason nobody makes anything for us is because of the meager FX50 sales volume figures, right?

I know a member here installed the invidia fx35 exhaust on his fx50 and another member from Russia installed borla fx50 exhaust on his fx 35.....lol.......... Why can't anyone install the right exhaust on the right car?? I am also waiting for someone to post video for the borla system.

Hey,

The invidia exhaust was actually installed on an FX50, and some minor modifications had to get done on the pipes in order to fit properly. Here's the thread:

///9606

To be quite honest, I wouldn't put on the Borla after seeing and hearing the Invidia cat back on the FX50. I've already asked the guys at Invidia to see if they would do something that would be bolt on for the FX50 and they said that there wasn't enough demand (yes, because of the low sales volume of the FX50) to produce a cat back for us :mad.:.

We need to convince them to make it for the FX50!

removing hte resonator sounds just as good as some of the exhausts I've heard...

Borla too loud??? Its sounds almost stock to me. I had one ordered when they were first released last year. I heard one on youtube and cancelled my order. I've heard one in person. Definitely better than stock, but it still sounded "weak" to me.

^the borla is essentially stock with resonators and cats deleted (if you look at the piping they give you)

Im still waiting for decent vids of the resonator delete before I pull the trigger.

Invidia is better

The best solution would be to convince the guys at Invidia to make a true bolt on for the FX50. After listening to the sound coming out of the Invidia cat back on the FX35, and seeing the results from the dyno, I would say that the Invidia is the best choice!
