Who exactly buys the FX?

I know this may seem like a weird question but for example, those who buy a Prius are conscious about the environment/gas consumption.

Stereotype the 2nd generation FX owners I guess

Someone who likes the idea of owning an SUV but without the SUV bulky looks that performs like a sports car. Just like RIP points out, someone who besides all that is not afraid to be different.

Anybody who likes to be diff and wants to be sporty and yet luxury. The fx has it all IMO

I agree. There are so many wannabe luxury crossovers with coupe like designs on the road. But out of all of them the FX stands out. Actually Infiniti was the first company to bring a luxury crossover to the table that had coupe like styling and sports car characteristics back in early 2002. All vehicles back then were ugly box shaped looking things. When the FX was first released everyone applauded its unique and futuristic styling. It's one of the many reasons why the FX styling hasn't aged at out. And in 2009 when they released the 2nd gen FX is just added on to what was already a sweet vehicle!!

BMW x6 and Acura ZDX are ugly in my opinion and have poor sales. I live in NY and I rarely see one of them on the road. I see an X6 maybe once or twice a month and the ZDX has been out for 2 years already and I've seen only about 4 of them.

The styling of the 2nd gen FX is just exotic looking and attracts a hell of alot of attention everywhere I go. I drive through my campus parking lot and everyone just stares and stares at it and anywhere else I go. I always get questions and compliments too.

God I love these vehicles :top::top::top::iS:

Someone who likes to have a quick vehicle that handles well, has more room than that of a sedan AND without the high price/maintenance of owning a Cayenne or ML63.
The exhaust sold it for me on the first gen, but I prolly would've ended up buying it anyway..

It truly is about SPORT and UTILITY for me. It's one vehicle that I am comfortable in and enjoy driving.

Fact: The Acura ZDX is the slowest selling vehicle in the USA right now.

well i don't have a 2nd gen... but i bought my 1st gen cuz porsche made the bulky cayenne instead of what they should have built... the fx!
