White smoke when i rev only, but none when idling.

ive got a fx35 awd with 82k. ive got a fujita intake and megan test pipes(installed last wk). my question is everytime i rev the fx i see white steam/smoke, just when i rev it, but in idling or slowly stepping in gas, theres no smoke. the temp of the vehicle is fine, i checked the radiator, its full and green and the radiator fluid reservoir is between full and empty and no leaking under neath the engine. the smoke i smell is either gas smell and what maybe oil as well.

and the other day, my check engine light came on telling me that my throttle body/sensor could be going bad, because we put the car on the obd scanner and it read (P2135). so disconnected the battery, and engine light came off.

so therefore, is the smoke problem because i need to fix/replace my throttle body & sensor, is that why smoke comes out only when i rev, seems like a build up somewhere, or is it because some say that because now im running with megan testpipes, that its what causing the smell and showing some smoke(and the check engine light came back on)?

btw there is no harsh idling, or weird sound while all of this is happening.

Test pipes will give a nasty smell. I know people who got rid of them for HFC's because of this. I notice a little bit of a smell with HFC's still. Not sure about the smoke though. How thick is it?

not thick at all, almost like as if you just started the car in the morning. like evaporated smoke/steam. but while idling, no smoke coming out. or driving around no smoke that you can see. only when you rev hard

thats what some were telling me and possibly in need to replace throttle body, coz my friend had the same problem in his honda and he needs to replace his throttle body. when he revs hard white smoke comes out, but not while idling, like mines. and my engine light turned on and got it scanned and said possible of throttle body sensor fail.

this has nothing to do with oil possibly going in by the spark plug area?, like ive read around.

and could it be because of installing the megan tespipes, im not sure what kind of foulers the shop installed onto the o2's.

its more of steam that comes out coz once the white smoke comes out it evaporates very quick to like steam

Oil and rich air/fuel mixture both make black smoke. Are you having any overheating issues? How does your coolant look in the reservoir?

no black smoke, more like white steam smoke only when i rev and no smoke afterwards. no over heating, no rough idling, no lose of power coz it was driving normal. even after the check engine light on and the radiator coolant is green and filled to the top and the reservoir of radiator fluid is between max and minimum but no signs of losing fluid coz i checked every now and then. and no leaks on the ground

some told me it could be just condensation (from the megan test pipes) coz of cool climate

today and it rained alot earlier and overnight. im thinking why the check engine light tho, it could be because my throttle body is dirty or sensor gone bad.

coz the other day the CEL came on and had it check at autozone and they found the code P2135. so i removed the power wire to my aftermarket amp and disconnected the battery, waited 5mins and only intalled the battery not & my aftermarket amp. CEL went away for 2 days. then came back on today. a while after the smoke/steam started to appear.

If you parked nose down in a steep driveway in the rain, water could have entered your muffler. Is the "steam" constant or does it stop after a few minutes of driving?

steam of smoke only comes def when i rev up only. then clear afterwards. sort of like a cold start from a cold day. just weird was that when i had it idling in a inclined, it steamed up more then i revved it then more steam of white smoke came out, then when i drove to a place where the car is level. no steam came out only when i rev high.and there was a lil drops of water that came out of exhaust

ok i just went to start the car, no smoke or steam, so def must be the weather yesterday coz it had just rained yesterday overnight and i drove it out in the afternoon.

so i had the CEL checked out it said the one of the catalytic converter is the problem(i have to get the exact code again) but mechanic, nothing to worry about, nothing to do with engine. and that he said maybe in one of the testpipes is not flowing correctly.

im waiting to see if they find oil in the spark plug area and checking oil fluid color and if burning alot.
