This past winter, the other-half drove through fresh white paint from a can that had fallen off a truck into the road; unfortunately, I've waiting until now to tackle the job of removing the paint-splatter safely, without removing the protective coating on the vehicle (Lexus ES 330).I've searched the Forums, but can't seem to find anything about removal of dried paint-splatter on the exterior. I've tried various homecare products, such as Zep Citrus Degreaser, Oven Cleaner & Goof-Off, but nothing is working. I think I'm going to have to scrape most of the spatter off, then use rubbing compound, perhaps?
Also, what do you suggest for the black trim of wheel-wells? Should I try to remove as well, or just paint them with Mother's Back to Black spray? Thoughts, suggestions, what you've tried all welcomed!
