I got this a few months ago - cuz I saw an ad for it in Nissan Sport Mag.
I've used it a couple of times and it does what its supposed to. Keeps the lip nice and clean - I even use it on my exhaust and tips.

If you have black faced rims - you have to sit there and make sure you clean them off good. You apply a thin coat, let it dry and rub it off. But on the black faced wheel you'll notice the white paste more if you dont get all of it off.

Wheelwax works great I have used it for the last couple of years. When I ran out I thought I would try Poorboys Wheel Sealant, I am not as happy with it, I am going back to Wheelwax.

Will this work on chrome wheels? Since you mentioned exhaust, how about stainless steel?

Yes it will help to protect chrome wheels and I have used it on my exhaust with good results.
