i recently 'got some new to me' 20s and they didnt come with tpms(?) sensors... can i buy them now and put them on... do i have to have the tire removed... not exactly sure how these work (by not exactly i mean no idea at all)

if you take them out of your 18's then the fx will still read them, maybe not in the correct position though, assuming we even know what that is, but they'll all read on your screen with no re-programming..

i was just gonna ask that.... psychiccad6 is more like it.... is it in the valve stem or something... if its not a simple swap ill prolly just buy new ones so that my snow wheels still have the sensor

shucks Ash, you shouldve taken my wheels. Clean as a wistle & TPMS intact.
But now they happily live here on marksasaki's ride (he's a new guy)

Problem with having 2 different sets is that each time you swap wheels you'll have to goto the dealer and have them reprogrammed. I think the easiest way is to do this is take the ones off your 18's and put them in the 20s and tire shop should be able to do this.

aw boo... ok fine... to the tire shop batman
edit... on second thought... wouldnt it be easier to just have the dealer change the tpms code as i plan on changing the wheels twice a year... rather than lugging the rims to a tire shop and having them switch them out....
bueller... bueller???
