Wheels dont fit! (need help)

What if I go to a 20mm? I'm kinda leaning that way anyway, will these work then?

Any 20mm or less spacer with the stud pressed in will not work UNLESS the back of the wheel has recessed pit next to the mounting hole to since the stock stud protrude pass the thickness of the spacer, so the wheel cannot be mounted flush against the spacer.

For 20mm or less spacer, you have to use the type that comes with extended stud.

Tim, I just install 20mm H&R DRM (with stud pressed in) onto my ride. The stock stud protrude pass the thickness of the spacer. Luckily, the back of my wheel has the recessed pit so the wheel can be mounted flush against the spacer.

So, yes if the back of the wheel has recessed pit to use 20mm or less wheel spacer with stub already pressed in.

^Andy's totally right. I was thinking about the OEM wheels which have that recession. The extended stud version is better anyway though. No one man should ever have to worry about an extraneous set of nuts...

After researching and realizing that the wheels have two lug patterns the 1st being 5.114.3 for the FX, and the other 5.112 I see why my idea will not work and understand what LA was saying about it not working. With that being said, this posses another question. The rears I have no issues with clearance. And I have established that I need at-least 15mm upfront to clear the calipers and struts. So if I go with say 15-20mm spacing upfront with the longer studs, do I need to also space the back or will it look funny or change the handling or performance of the car and or wear on the tires? Or more importantly will I have issues with doing a 4 wheel alignment down the road? As I would think the computer will not read the front and rears as being aligned? I know I have asked alot of questions from you guys and I REALLY appreciate everyone's help and want it to be right the first time without creating any problems down the road. Thanks again in advance!

Heck I'd do 25 mm bolt on spacers all around and call it a day.

You'll have no issues and the biggest thing, no headache.
 
Different thickness spacer for the front and rear will not effact 4 wheel alignment as each wheel is aligned individually against the manufacturer specs. Its not aligned against the front/rear wheel. I used to have 25mm all around and recently change the rear to 20mm while the front still has 25mm on without any alignment issue. This setup just seat and look better with the wheel width that I have. If you have 15mm in the front and none in the rear, it may look a bit funny (at least to me). Performance wise, there may be a slight difference since the wheel stance between the front and rear difference. Wears on tires probably very marginal that may not noticeable.

Here is another view/suggestion; since you're looking into getting wheel spacers, if you like to have the "flush looks" many of us on this forum are after. If so, you may want to mount the wheel up and measure the gap between the outer most of the tire to the outer most of the fender to find the "perfect" wheel spacer size for that look. Take a look here, http://www.trakplus.com/measure on how to measure. Remember now, if you take measurement with the your 15mm spacer on, make sure you add that to the measurement to get. Better yet, just take the your current 15mm spacer off on all four corners since it unsafe to drive with it on using the stock stud, mount the tire back on, let the car seat level on ground and take the measurement, then go get the spacer that give you the best wheel stance and look you wanted. Quality spacers are not cheap!
 
Yeah, I know they are not cheap. So if I get 20mm all the way around the fronts will not match the back? Also if I go to the 25mm with the already 45 degree offset of the wheels will there be any rubbing issues on stock suspension? Also with the 25's will the stock lugs still stick out past the 25mm spacers?
 
Here is what 15mm bolt on spacer looks like with stock stud. Notice the stock stud protrude pass the thickness of spacer which will pose a problem with mounting wheel flush against the spacer. A 20mm will a much less but still pose a problem.

If the back of your wheel look something like these pictures, you can use the "bolt on" type with the stud already pressed in; otherwise, you will have to go with the longer stud type where you have to swap out the stock stud with stud that comes with the spacer.

It proven that the front fender stick out more; therefore, many of us will go 5mm more in the front than the rear to get that flush look. If your new wheel look something like the wheel pic above, you can go with 20mm bolt on type. As for 25mm spacer with stock suspension, experience tells me that you should not rub. If you're concerned about rubbing issue, the best is to mount the wheel up and take gap measurement between the outer most of the tire and the inner lip of the wheel molding. 25mm spacer with the bolt on style will clear stock stud.

Just to reiterate, get quality spacers like H&R or Ichiba. Skimp on milk, deli meat or gas if you must, but when it comes to important things like this, I feel quality and saftey is very important. You sometimes will come across stories of people getting cheap eBay spacers and have fitment and vibration issues with them.
 
If you love the wheels, go custom spacers at Motorsport Tech. They will make you a wheel and hubcentric spacer.
 
Ok, I just ordered ichiba version 1 10mm spacers all the way around. I didn't realize until taking the generic spacer back to the tire shop that they were 5/16 thick rather than the 5/8 thick as previously stated. After measuring with the 45 offset of the wheels this should put me pretty flush to the wheel wells. Also I feel I got a good deal at 180.00 total for all 4 shipped with a 30 day exchange if I need thicker ones or decide to go thicker in the front vs. the rear. But I think the 10mm will be just fine as the 5/16 spacer is about 7.8mm so the 10's she be a perfect fit. I will post pics when I get them installed. Thanks again for everyone's help with everything.

Good for you, don't forget to replace your studs with longer ones to accommodate the spacers.
