Ok I bought this set of wheels from a member, We wont get into the particulars but they are as follows:
AV120x10 Machined Glossy Black w/stainless Lip +45mm offset-79.1mm HubBore FULL HARDWARE KIT .Lugnut size :12x1.25 .5x11/5x114.3.
Today I had the tires mounted and went to install the wheels and the front ones barely hit the brake calipers. So I got some 5/8 inch spacers to clear the calipers and now the lug-nuts aren't catching enough to be safe. I bought new ones that go inside the wheel that are deeper but they wont go through the hole in the wheels. What is the best route to take? New spacers? If so which ones? (I don't think I have enough room for the bolt on ones) Or new studs? If so how long? I'm so pissed right now at this headache I got myself into, I should have just bought new ones and been done with it. PLEASE HELP! Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

It it really just barely hits the brake calipers you can shave off a bit of the wheel, or the caliper. I think Will (Psiclne) has the back of his spokes shaved a bit since he has really tight clearance.

i shaved the caliper mount for mine, the one that holds the rotors in and calipers are bolted onto
it. I shaved the part that looks like this |

it is possible that the guy you got them from had an 03,04 or 05 FX which had a slightly smaller front caliper, and they very well may have not contacted anything on his. just some FYI in case your thinking he intentionally misled you, it's very likely he had no idea you'd have an issue like this...

i think the seller had a 07 or 08
Thats right he had a 2007 FX35 but the wheels were never installed according to his ad.

Renhalt, as tchuck says, you will need longer studs to use the spacers.
IMHO, it is better not to machine anything off the wheels or grind calipers.

I agree i would rather use the longer studs, even though its a bitch to change them. But oh well i am all in now, where can I get the right 20mm spacers that have the proper stud holes. The ones the tire shop had are universal and the lug-nuts center them on the hub. Which will not work for me since the lugs wont go through the lug nut holes on the wheels. Also do the spacers have the hub centric ring as part of them or will I still be able to use the ones that I have?

Sorry 15mm spacers I think are a better fit! Due to the 5/8th inch ones that the tires shop had were perfect and didnt stick out to far.

There is options if you don't want to go with the longer stud route. Get the spacers with studs already pressed into the spacer. H&R brand DRM version. Ichiba brand Version II. Most spacer are already hub centric. At least the H&R and Ichiba are.

I see on other threads other people are using thicker spacers up front than the back, Why? And do I need to do this I want all 4 wheels even.

My wheels have 10 stud openings, as song as the nuts recess flush into the spacer i should be alright. Right?

I really like the wheels they look great on the car, I just don't know allot about wheels spacers and such. There is no reason they should not work with the proper hardware. Im just trying to find which is the best route to take!

Cool, then I am sure the guys here will figure it out and help you. I don't know too much about wheels either. Maybe u can post some pictures when it's all done. Cheers!

Its NOT SAFE to use the 15 mm spacer with the stock stud!

Option1: H&R DRM or Ichiba Version II 15mm - 20mm spacer, the back of the wheel need to have a recessed pit next to the mounting hole so that the back of the wheel can be mounted flush against the spacer. Your wheel will mount to the stud on the spacer.

Option 2: H&R DRS or Ichiba Version I with extended stud, you will need to replace the stock stud with extended stud that comes with the spacer. Your spacer and wheel will mounted onto the same extended stud.

Hope this helps.
