HI all,

I am located in Northern NJ and am having mechanical issues. As soon as you I am driving over 60 MPH the wheel shakes uncontrollably. I am not sure what exactly the issue is but even my stick shift starts to shake aggressively. Does anyone know what my issue may be and where locally I should go to have this looked at and fixed? I have a 03 fx35 AWD.

Thank you.

By wheel you mean steering wheel or the rim?

Any chance you have frozen snow/ice accumulated in the wheel or around the wheelwell that is throwing off the balance badly?

Unless this just happened, this is a common problem on the FX, either get the wheels roadforce balanced or try tightening the rack bolt check the steering wheel shake fixed thread

Same thoughts as David, I just had to get my car washed because there was snow caked up in the wheel wells (steering wheel violently shaking). Put your car in a garage overnight or get a wash with under body. I'm in Northern NJ as well so dealing with same weather. Hopefully that's your only issue!

Do you have aftermarket rims? I had steering wheel vibrations with my aftermarket rims because I never purchased hub adapter rings. After the rings, the car drove like a dream.

Thanks guys....

could have been the snow but I dont think so...wheel is original and I do not have rims.

I was told that that one of the wheels was unbalanced which caused the shake- its better now but I still think I need a full wheel alignment.

The wheel turns hard to the left when you let go of it.

You definitely need an alignment since you're pulling to the right so much (you have to turn your steering wheel left to keep the car going straight). Get it align soon, as it will cause uneven wear on your tires.
