Wheel Spacers vs. Camber?

Will a regular 4 wheel alignment fix the camber after installing 17mm front and 25mm rear spacers with stock wheels? I have an FX50S with stock suspension. Thanks in advance!

Your camber should not change when you install spacers.

My "eye" tells me otherwise, or is this Toe that I see? Can you see it in these pictures? Fronts have no spacers, rear has 25mm.

Spacers will not affect either of them.

Have you driven your FX since you installed them. when you jack up the car and then lower it back down, it will not settle to it's normal position until you drive it a little bit.
I actually noticed this last week when I installed spacers on my rear wheels. As soon as I drove it the suspension seemed to settle.
Today I drove it just over 90mph and they ran vibration free with the spacers, I was very pleased.

HMMM? Ok, I am no alignment expert, but my eye tells me that my rears are pointing inward, which would be toe correct. It sure looks like the inside of the tires will wear faster, but that is just my little brain talking to me. Moving the wheels out an inch on each side tells my little brain once again that this may be the case.

At any rate, I will have an alignment done after I install the fronts next week. I certainly appreciate your comments......THANKS! :top:

When the top of your tires lean in or out this is camber. It does look like you have some negative camber, when was your alignment last performed and did you drive it after you installed the spacers.

I have not aligned it since I got it. With that said, I did not notice the rear wheels turning inward before I installed the spacer; or I am just imagining it? I did drive it about a mile after I just painted the spacers and rotors this afternoon.

That will look great when you also get the front end done, and definitely get the alignment done, since you've not had it checked since you got your ride.

The FX comes with some negative camber from the factory. It is one of the things that makes it handle so well.

If the FX comes with some negative camber from factory, when they align it at the dealer, will they align it like factory with some negative camber or align it "perfect"?

I have no ideea... Never did an alignment at the dealer. I love the negative camber. I am also dropped on H&R's.:smile (2):

17mm front spacers installed. I'm on the fence and think I like better with no spacers. Any thoughts?c773f6fa-555d-22fe.jpgc773f6fa-5567-7bd8.jpg

I definitely like the rear with the 25mm spacers but with your picture of your front it is hard to tell how much the fronts now stick out.

Why don't you like it with the spacers on? I agree with Wayne 25mm is perfect for the rear but in the front you only need 10-15mm to be flush. I have 15mm front and 25mm rear and they are flush and look nice.

You didn't notice it before the spacers because the wheel was deep inside the wheel well giving you no reference point. With the spacers, the wheel is flush with the wheel well so you can sort of compare how it lines up. Wheel spacers absolutely cannot change your camber or toe. Camber is the vertical angle of your wheels and toe would be horizontal. So if your wheel looks like it's leaning a little bit, that's camber. If it looks like it's slightly turned, that's toe. Negative camber is fine for the most part, as others have said, the FX has negative camber from the factory. Toe can change if you lower your car and if it is out of spec, it will eat tires very quickly. Having toe out of spec is much, much worse than having camber out of spec.
