Wheel help

Yeah, 265 is really stretching it. The 265 can safely goes on up to 9.5" wide wheels. The next tire size up for 10.5" wide wheel would be 285/50/20 with plenty of tire choices. Keep in mind that with the 285/50/20 tire your speedometer will be slower than your actual speed since the overall diameter of the 285/50.20 is 31.22" and the stock 265/50/20 is 30.43". The diameter difference is 2.54% which mean when your speedometer reads 60 mph, your actual speed will be 61.5 mph.

I wouldn't stretch a 265 onto a 10.5 for the FX. On a car, it's doable and not a big deal. But the FX is a heavier vehicle. And it would look silly unless you had super aggressive offsets. I used to have 285/35's on 10.5" 22"s and even 285"s "look" stretched. I've seen guys put 235's on 10.5" wheels. It's not particularly safe, but that's stretch.

FWIW, TSW's are nice wheels (I have a set), but they're more mass market than Vossen's. Vossen's are a little more exclusive, but they're not anywhere near say HRE or the like. All the new 3 piece wheels, ADV1, 360 Forged, Vossen, Forged1, etc. are all based in Miami. It's a weird club and they all share the same suppliers. Sort of like all the body kit companies in CA. Personally, I think Vossen's are overpriced for what you're getting. They're selling cast 1 piece wheels for what some multi piece wheels cost. Some of them look nice though.

265 on a 10.5 is hardly a stretch, I had 265s on my 10.5s for a while and the rim didnt even poke
However even with a +30 offset I had to run 20mm spacers to look good,I run 295s all around and it looks much better with a fitted tire

285 on a 10.5 would be my #1 choice

Hey guys im purchasing a fx45 (06) within the next couple weeks. In ny came from the 3rd gen acura tl family. Im lookin at the vossen cv7 22" 10.5 all around on a 295/40/22 tire and bc racing coilovers.....ive never owned anythin bigger than a tl so not too familiar with wheels and suspension setup for fxs but from reading around for a couple days led me to these specs and i have bc coilovers on my tl and am comfortable with the ride

Nice wheel choice. Not too sure on the tire size. 295/40/22 is very limited selection. I would go with 285/35/22, but since you're in NY. road condition might not be ideal. I used to have run 285/40/22. I would go with 285/35/22 for sure on the next set of 22s, but got into 24s now. :smile (2):

Nice! Lol i live in the bx so 24s not happenin i drive every day to work about 30 miles round trip

Lol, your ride will be fine with 285/40/22. And theBC Coilovers will be perfect to finish off the suspension dept. :good:

The guy selling me vossen wheels flop, smh. So I have another question does ranger rover wheels fit ours? Or I need to get it red filled or buy an adapter?

I think the bolt pattern is close enough to our 120x5 but you'll need a hub adapter. Also make sure the offsets work. I know that my OZ Canyon wheels also fit the Range Rover and the Cayenne.

Isnt ours are 5x114.3? Offsets what should i look for if running stock suspension tho only

You will need adapters to run a RR wheels. Motorsport Tech makes some quality adapters, I will be ordering them soon as I got the RR rims recently. Make sure the offsets are not crazy, adapters are minimum 19mm thick

Offset: what are crazy I should stay away from as in numbers? Around what numbers? 20 or higher than 42's. thanks

I guess, you should stay away from anything below +15mm offset, IMO(if you will be running adapters). Depends on a wheel width also.

Is it safe to keep the 235/55/20 tires from a murano 20" rims on my fx? Thanks

Btw the rims are oem murano 20" 7.5" width, are these ok and safe to use on our fx? Thanks

Would i lose handling coz of these size tires? But gain some mpg you think?

I wouldnt do it , if I were you. It's too narrow IMO, the Diameter Difference is 5.17%.
