Wheel Bearings Problems I Think !!!!!!!

So I have read a couple of threads in here and on the org about the issues that people have had on their fx with the wheel bearings. I currently have 47,000 miles on my 2005 fx and lately while driving it feels like i am driving a cheap piece of crap; rumbling, wobbling, vibration, unbalancing, etc... are all the effects that i feel while driving at above 30mph.

My questions to you all are the following, are those the common signs that one experiences when the wheel bearings go bad on these vehicles?

If indeed it is the Wheel bearings that have failed is it cover under the power train warranty?

If it isn't the bearings the cause of the problem, what are some other things that can be causing these issues?

below I have attached a link with manufactures warranty info.

Thanks in advance for your input!!!

So despite the fact that I didn't receive much feedback last time i posted this thread I will continue to post my issues with the hope that someone might benefit in the future from my frustrating experience as well as myself.

Update:
I decided to take the fx to the stealership to get a diagnosis on what was making my suv make this rubbing noise from the rear passenger wheel. I paid $140 so they can test drive it and inspect it, they determined that the bearing weren't the cause of the problem, instead they informed me that I had to replace the caliper since it had seize to open and close as it is intended to do.

so I opted to do the work with some friends, I replaced the caliper, the rotor and break pads again (the first time being two months ago. after completing the work this past Wednesday I am no longer getting a rumbling noise, but now I have a scrapping sound. it sounds as the break pad is continuously rubbing against the rotor. My questions are as follow, could I have done something wrong which is making this crap happen?, could there be a problem with the ABS system on the car? could the master cylinder be the issue and if so how can I check to see if thats the problem?, lastly can I take the car back to the stealership and demand that they perform another test drive and diagnostic test without being charged since the problem still exist?.

I apologize for writing so much, but I this point and time I need to vent and hope that something extra I said will help me get some good ideas and responses from you all.

When wheel bearings go out they make a tremendous racket. Lotsa noise - hard to ignore. Sounds like that was NOT the problem since replacing your brakes changed up the situation.

Pad rubbing could be due to the installation, the brake pad shim, no lubrication on the back of the pad... hard to really help you out without seeing, hearing, experiencing the problem.

Look up procedures for 1) bedding in the brake pads and 2) burnishing the rotors/pads.

Sometimes pad material can deposit on the rotor and cause vibration as if the rotor is warped. Only way to know for sure is to have your rotors checked with a run-out gauge while still on the car.

Did you make sure you compress the piston all the way down when you install the pads? I think I had this issue when I first did my brakes. I didn't compress the pistons all the way down.

Thanks a lot guys for responding. The break pads are new and they were grease to prevent/minimize breaking noise. The rotor is cross drilled/slotted and is also new so chances of the rotor being warped o believe are slim to none.

The I don't recall reacting the piston completely since I replaced the caliper as a whole my understanding was that there is no fluid in the line and when I bleed the system that should of taken care of any air in the system and any compression issues with the cylinder.

The shaving/rubbing noise coming from the rear passenger wheel is consistent most of the time and is more noticeable when making a turn. I have read and performed the bedding technique and by now I know that the break pads should be past the break in period specially after driving over 200 miles this past weekend.

Lastly, I have no other choice but to jack up the car and rotate the back wheel to assess the issue, but even when I do so I already now that the padss are gridding, but don't know why and that's what I hope that get someone can help determine the root of the problem. When I replaced the break pads, rotor, and break pads I did NOT replace the clips or springs some that I read in one of the threads as a recommend action to do when replacing breaks. Does any one know if that is a must and so can that lead to what I am experiencing?

I am sure I am gonna get grief about this but.....

When I was in California, both of my front hubs went out. I found this out after I put on new tires (Yoko Prad X) and my "cheap" $200 four wheel alignment (I did lower my FX with H&Rs and I cut them!). Honestly, I felt something weird in the steering but didn't hear that much noise (the 20's are pretty loud).

Anyway... after getting a ridiculous quote to change out AWD hubs, ended up taking it into a local Midas (friend has been there nearly a dozen times without any issues and got some stuff for free). They drop my FX around and told me what the problem was for ready for it....... FREE.

With all the information you guys share there is not need for me EVER to go into a stealership where they overcharge and underpay. Just my .02. Good luck with your noise, I have a click noise coming from the back after 75k miles. Guessing mine is my soon to be changed brakes. :balanced:

Finally I determine what the issue was, the metal cover that hugs around the rotors (i am guessing that's a mud guard) was bent out of shape so it was rubbing up against the rotor when the wheels would spin. My friend and I gave it a little forceful persuasion with a flat head screw diver and bent it back in to shape, that took care of the noise problem.
