Wheel bearing issue

Well I recently had a wheel bearing problem with my FX. My rear driver side wheel bearing had to be replaced. But the thing is mine failed catastrophically. I mean I never heard the usual humm or roar noise associated when a bearing is getting bad as a warning. No mine only made a noise the day it catastrophically failed, where it was so loose it felt like it was about to come off while driving. I had to tow it to my garage. Has anybody had this happen to them with their FX? Are the rear wheel bearings hard to tell when they're going? Now i'm worried about the other rear passenger and front ones now.

yours probably just seized up and self-destruct. even your bearings failed completely or are missing, the wheel still won't come off..

If you're worried, get a thermogun and check each bearing after a long-ish drive (20 or more minutes) especially if you go on the highway... Use your new bearing as a base and if any other the other bearings are running much hotter, then they will need replacement soon regardless if they're making any noise, or if there is any play in the bearing (the two most common symptoms of failing bearings)...
