Wheel Balancing

Hi All:
Couple of months back i had new tires installed on my 05FX35 18" factory wheels. Later i noticed that the steering wheel vowels at the speeds of 65 and higher. I figured this as a wheel balance issue, so last week i had the installers (Discount Tire) look into the issue. They had all the wheels balanced again and mentioned that one of the wheels is not getting balanced as it is a little misaligned.

So now my FX vowels all the time at over 65 sppeds. Is there any thing i can do to resolve this. Are these issues covered any way in the Factory warranty.

I dont remember hitting any curve or holes.

Please advice...

Put the bad wheel on the rear and see if you notice any difference. You could always bring it to the dealer and see what they say or get another rim.

Not understanding what "wheel vowels" mean? Are you saying you're getting a vibration from the tire/wheel? From what it sound's like you are saying one of your wheel is bent and the tire guy can't zero out the balance? Either way tire balancing problems have nothing to do with your alignment. If this is your issue some times "180" the tire on the wheel may help. If not then you may be SOL and you need to move it to the back like fxlr8 said. Your factory warranty should not even be mentioned in the same sentence for a non defective issue . Please explain your issue in more detail.

Thanks for replying back...
What i meant was, that the steering wheel vibrates when at higher speeds. This is normal when the wheels are not balanced. One of the wheels is not getting balanced properly due to inperfection which is normally caused by hitting a curb.

Moving it to rear is a good option.

I dont think the wheel can be fixed. So is this covered under warranty or its just a normal wear and tear scenario which infiniti wont entertain.

I would assume a wheel is wear and tear and they wont cover it...to many variables on why it isn't straight, mainly user hitting a curb/pothole

Bent wheel is not covered by the warranty unless you drove the car off the lot that way. The fact that you've already changed tires means you've got miles on the car. In this scenario The dealer is going to say this is wear and tear because you can't prove otherwise.
