Got an "04 FX 35 AWD w/176,000+ on the ODO. Recently, particularly once I get to cruising speed it feels as though I have a flat spot on a tire, a tire is going flat or there is a warped rotor. Sometimes it is worse than others including when I am slowing to a stop but I don't have to be pressing on the brake pedal for it to happen. Many times once I take back off from a full stop the issue doesn't happen again. Other times it drives fine. I'm no mechanic so I am asking for any advice. Thanks!

Check the drive shaft u joints From transmission to rear differential. Those will make
a thumping noise when slowing down without brakes if bad.

Update...took the FX to the dealership for inspection. Among the items they listed needed repair &/or replacement, they said I needed rear brakes, rotors and calipers. They stated that the calipers were siezing and that was causing the issues I noted above. They quoted $1,100!! I decided to get a second opinion and am I glad I spent the time to do it. I did in fact need rear brakes and rotors...however the calipers were fine, the repair cost me $300 and all the issues were resolved. Now I need to save $ for 4 new tires so she can run another 177k miles.
