What would you guys rather have? 2014 QX70S 5.0 V8 or 2014 Grand Cherokee SRT?

Sooo as the itch to get a new car approaches, my wife and I are looking at the new QX70 V8 or possibly a 2014 SRT.
I know both might be a bit of a long shot since she really loves her car and doesn't want to get rid of it just yet.
But I might be able to convince her to make the change. I know this might be a biased forum to ask this on but I was just wondering what your feedback was.
We really like Moonlight white or Bright White on the SRT. The MSRPs are almost identical and the lease payments are almost the same at approximately $800 per month or so. Lemme know your thoughts!

Personally, I would get the SRT. You're already driving a 2nd gen 35, why get a replacement that's so similar? The SRT just seems like it would be more fun, I'd definitely consider it when it's time to replace the FX. My philosophy is that you're only going to own so many cars in your lifetime, why not try as many as possible? I've never quite understood the people that get the same car over and over, ie, they've owned 7 Honda Accords in a row...

Thanks for that! I am leaning towards that too. Not too sure though. The performance and sound of the SRT is mesmerizing. Plus I love the new brown interior option for 2014 and the beautiful new LED speedometer display. It isn't an actual tach that moves, it's a screen.

SRT8 for sure especially since it's a lease then dump it before it starts giving you extreme maintenance headaches. By then you may get over the performance and be pissed off the MPG it gets, but at least you had a ton of fun.

The FX50S is long term in every way. So you can always get it when the redesign happens.

On the SRT dash, why does the compass heading (NE) have two displays??

I've been debating this as well...I'm currently leasing my FX50S and I'd done a fair amount of mods to it...enough to make me not want to trade it in straight up, rather buy it out and sell it to make a little bit of money to cover all the stuff I've done to it...LOL ! But yeah...VERY intrigued by the SRT8...have been for years...I guess I wished that the FX would have had a body style change by now but that won't be for another couple years from what I've read (I think ?). I'll be paying close attention to this thread

Funny how this is an infiniti community and you get honest non biased answers. If you asked on a jeep forum you would get biased jeep answers plus alot of trash talk about how terrible of a choice infiniti would be lol. One more reason to love IS!!

Looks is Infiniti all the way, performance is the SRT. If its only a two year lease you could try out the srt and get the 3rd gen (which would hopefully be out) after those 2 years.

Yep, lease the SRT for fun, and then pick up a redesigned FX in 2-3 years. Someone on here should pick up your current ride, love the 2012 LE.

I'd go with the SRT just to say you had it, and just to have the fastest grocery getter on the road besides the cheyenne turbo maybe, but the Infiniti is so sweet looking... Can't beat it...

Your ride is sick, do you have any high-res pics of it?
