What would you do ... ???

.....Like i said ill go with a 08 fx35, plus the resale value is high..

my thought on this is that if you're trying to buy an 08 now, you might as well bump a couple thousand dollars and a get the remodeled version. this has always been kinda tricky to me.

But personally i will get the 45, no offense to the 2nd gen guys, every guy i know does not like the new design, but they love the interior..

Really?

Most people that ask me about my 2nd gen always use words like beautiful, sexy, awesome, etc. Every car that dares to be different will always have a love it or hate it design:wink (2):

When the G37 came out all the G35 guys hated the design. Now everyone thinks it looks sexy. Check out my350z.com, alot of people on there hate on the new 370 design. This is just the kind of stuff I see on a daily basis:laugh:

What choice did you make? Did you stay with 1g, i would like to know1?

No offense to 1st gen guys but I wouldn't do it. I don't understand why did you buy the 2nd gen in the first place if you didn't like the styling??? Makes no sense to me at all. That's like me buying a Ford Flex when I absolutely dispise the way that thing looks. I remember you complaining about the looks of the 2nd gen, then why did you buy it in the first place?? I'd never shell out $50K+ on a vehicle and not care for the way it looks.

Plus you'll be taking a HUGE step back in interior quality/styling, better ride quality/quieter ride, better chassis (since the 2nd gen rides on an improved revised FM platform than the 1st gen), better drivetrain, better technology, better suspension.

I've been in and driven the 1st gen many times and it's a night and day difference between the two. Nothing about them is the same. Everything down to the the nut and bolts are different.

But hey if that's what you want to go then go for it...... I love the 1st gen don't get me wrong. The sounds they make give me orgasms, but I couldn't see myself taking a big step back like that.

I bought the 2nd gen because I wanted the tech, nav, etc. My previous FX was lacking both. You have a good memory though, the ext design has just never totally worked for me. And when I see a 1st Gen FX, I think the designers really missed the mark on the newer model.

Question is have you ever owned a 1st gen fx? , if not its going to be hard to go down to 1st gen fx.. But personally i will get the 45, no offense to the 2nd gen guys, every guy i know does not like the new design, but they love the interior.. You have to consider if you want a stiff/harsh ride(1st gen) or less stiff ride-more
comfort (2nd gen)..

What I found is guys who have seen much of the 1st gens do like the styling of the 1st gens more, but quite the opposite if they are looking at both for the first time. This is at least from my experience.

The other factor I think that comes to play is do you see more stock 2nd gens or 1st gens? 1st gens moded look awesome and I see many more moded 1st gens. Put a moded 1st gen next to Hollywood's modded 2nd gen, that would be more of an even comparison when asked about styling comparisons. That's why us 2nd gens are just dieing for more mods to catch with the 1st gens! :)

This rebuttal is leaving me a bit confused. Eventually more modifications for the 2nd gen (especially the 35) will become available as they did for the 1st gens 35 and 45 alike. If you are willing to spend the cash and you have a plan you CAN create the ride you want with your 2nd gen (as you said, consider Hollywood's ride) If it's "the look" you want right now and finances are a barrier to entry (again using Hollywood's ride as an example), go with visual upgrades for the time being and make your performance upgrades a long term goal.
