Im very disappointed on Infiniti OEM screw quality. Generally when I'm removing them half of them brakes and/or loose heads! Very annoying!
Ive already purchased a new, harder one but removing these broken is real pain in my butt.
Just wanted to share my point of view.

Must be where you live? I have had no problems with the 10mm metric bolts that are used everywhere. Yes, a little rust here and there, but I have never broken one before.

Recently I wanted to dress up my engine bay so I decided to look for fancy bolts or annodized washers and such. I ended up going to Grade 8 Cadmium plated hardware from a local auto parts store. Just walked in, spent about $40 US and ended up replacing just about every bolt I could see at the front of the engine bay. Looks nice and bolts should be protected better from rust.

I hear ya. I feel the same way. I live in the Chicago area where the snowy winter will accelerate the rust on those bolts. I'm too break one or two trying to take the belly pan off for oil change. I'm on the hunt to find stainless steel u-clips and replace all of them. The stainless steel bolts are easy enough to find at your local hardware store.

+1

I bought a ton of stainless and started replacing the ones that broke. Especially the undercarriage ones. Wow those are annoying when they just break off and I have to drill them out. Makes a 10 minute job 60 minutes.

I am always looking for stainless with the washers attached, but just leave it at just the bolt.
