Having a Valentine is like making calls on this

While, the arrows were cool when it first came out - technology has greatly improved since then.

Not the new ones, stop by a ferrari dealer and see the ones they offer. You will change your mind. Not only are the detectors but have stealth Mode, cops won't even get a reading, and they are not considered jammers either!

Beltronics RX65 has no gps and does not support this feature:

First few days of owning a radar detector I was running across so many false signals my head as spinning. Now after using it for a few months and to go in general areas without it ever going off unless it is a threat is just absolutely perfect for me and have been spoiled in the process. It would be hard for me to give this up.

Beltronics RX65 Bar none, the best next to valentine, but who want s to spend $2500. for a radar system. I'm originally from Cincinnati which is where Cincinnati Microwave is located which is who makes Escort and passport as well as Beltronics. I have visited their facility many times as I have had problems with the escorts and passports. After a few visits I spent a lot of time talking to their engineers and the Beltronics in their opinion is a far more superior product over the Escort or Passport. I have had all of them and both of my cars sport the Beltronics RX65 and they are the best IMO!!!! Good luck!

You mean $250? Because the escort most have on this site runs about $500.

No, im speaking of the valentine that is installed in the car with front and rear sensors, allot of very high end dealers offer them and they run Bout 2500. Bucks.

Issue I have with the Valentine is that it's too good. So good that it picks up every building alarm, door sensor, etc.. The learning feature is what sold me on the escort.

TapaTalkin'

The learning feature is cool, unless you live here in Florida where the FHP will put up a box that will throw a KA Band signal for a month or two. Then they will turn it off and write a few hundred tickets in one day to the locals running escorts that have the learning feature. That's the only downside to the learning feature. Other than that escort and passport are good units and I have had both but I will not buy another one after having the Beltronics. Again just my opinion!

Seriously, I have nothing but respect for valentine, but I hate noise. When my 9500ix beeps, it means there is a Leo in the vacinity. The GPS / lock out feature is by far more inportant to me than where the signal is coming from. That is the only advantage that Valentine has over Escort.

Basically isn't the main function of an RD to beep when there is a LEO? Bar none, and I have owned quite a few, this is the Best/ Quietest R.D. I have ever owned!! Period!!

Hahaha, let's see, I had it for about 3 years and still in pristine condition. For you Lance, I'll ship it with original box, cords, bracket, extra suction cups and I'll throw in my handy andy invisicord for $499 shipped. I'm kidding.....

In $300-$500 range, Valentine One(performance wise, hands down. One minus no GPS, many false alerts) and Escort 9500ix(gadget wise, with GPS, will be very quite, no false alarms. Poor detection).
In $800-$1500 range, custom installed setups, Beltronics STI-R Plus(the best radar detector available at the moment) and Escort 9500ci.
