This poll is being conducted just to determine what kind of radar detectors the forum members currently have in their cars. You are free to express your opinion about your product or contradict the other member's products but in a polite fashion only.
It may also affect my decision when buying a new device in the future. Thanks for your votes.

had the escort 8500 x50 installed 2 months ago, I get lots of false alerts in nyc tho. haven't test others yet.

my passport does a great job inside the city, there's always a cop with a radar gun or a laser gun on my way to work.

I have an Escort Passport 9500ix for about two years now. Love it. Hardly any false alarm. If it detect the same type/strength at the same location three times it will sound a short beep indicate that it know that it's none threatening. If there happen to be a cop in that same location it will warn you. It detect red light camera, photo speed trap. Only complaint that I have is when you're on the express way and overpass or near a red light camera on a local street, it warns you of red light camera ahead. Man, they gotta have some way of void that out would be perfect. Oh yea. it give you a heads up pretty far in advance.

I have the Escort Lolo S2. It's cordless, sensitivity is good but the volume of the warning beep is a little lell than I'd like. At the volume I listen to the stereo at I'm not sure I'd hear anything else.

and how bada$$ is your k40 btw? i am thinking about laser diffuser install since cops here are using a lot of laser guns around school zone and i have to drive past two of them.

not that I would advocate speeding through a school zone, but it's AWESOME

i don't speed, but i've been pulled over twice for going 3 miles over the limit, that's ridiculous. that 5 mile over the limit cushion is a b.s. to cops here.

i keep my x band off but not when i am in Dallas, where my car has picked up so many bursts of x waves from cop cars nearby.

I'm contemplating on getting a Valentine One, since my passport 8500 is a bit long in the tooth. It has saved me countless times, but I still got nailed in Texas in when I bought my maserati for doing 130mph. I was too busy listening to the glorious sound of the engine and didn't realize my GF had put the damn thing on mute! When I realized it was going off by the lights, I stood on the brakes hard. Cop wrote me up for doing a 100mph, he was livid.

If Valentine 1 can incorporate GPS/Red Light Cameras, that would be ideal for me.

Doesn't the radar pick up the laser from the intelligent cruise that some of us have? I'd hate to drop $400 on a detector and have to turn off the laser. I also wonder what the diffuser would do to the brake assist?

I have not had a problem with my intelli cruise but then again I have only used that feature once because when your lowered its pretty much useless and realigning or tilting it is not possible without some modification. So I only use the normal cruise which has been fine for me. Also, I like the arrows more than having a GPS but I would definitely like the memory feature of the escort.

k40 is nice with set up but stays on your car, v1 and the other radars are removable car to car, so ill take v1 especially with new pop 2 and euro mode. which k40 do you have? DL?
k40 undetectable full kit

I only have 1 car so it suits me fine ;)

The cushion doesn't really apply in school zones. Kids are more important than a driver's urge to drive a little over the limit.

The laser detection is useless. Only very rarely can laser be detected ahead of time, and that's only if you're lucky. Most of the time, if the laser alert goes off, you're getting a ticket. Even if you have to disable that feature because of the ICC, you're not really losing anything.
