My work commute is about 8 miles on city streets and that's about 80% of my driving. I get about 18 mi a gallon with 93 octane and I have a very heavy foot.

I got 21+ mpg in my 2010 M35. Most of my driving is highway to work 5 days/week. If it wasn't for running errands on the weekend with the wife I'm sure it'd be another 2-3 mpg.
I use Fuelly to track mileage and lets me text the #s every fillup.
I recently purchased a 2006 M35X and get around 15 on streets and about 18 on highway. I fill up with 93 but I feel like I'm going to the pump pretty often. Is this normal for this type of car? If so what are some ways to increase mpg?
According to the car info I'm only getting 16mpg if i'm lucky...worst part is I RARELY get on it. Im usually cruising at speed limit. I basically only drive to and from work every day which is less that 10 miles round trip.
