What is the most popular aftermarket wheel size for these cars?

What size wheel should we do for our wheel group buy?

We are thinking about setting up another group buy for the members of this board.

This time around we are thinking about doing wheels instead of the GTSPEC braces. I just wanted to get an idea of what is the most popular after market wheel sized used or preferred by this community.

In addition, post up the preferred color. I know it depends on the exact wheel and the style but I am thinking we can set up something custom with one of the manufacturers that we deal with.

Thanks,
Kwame

Track wheels = 19's (light weight ..nismos, volks, etc.)
Normal Everyday = 20" - 22's (mainly 22's)

but if you guys do a group buy on wheels, will there be choices? or will there be a bunch FXs with the same wheel?

Well, the most popular wheel size is 20", not 22" because not everybody can do 22"s (price, potholes, stiffness etc).. If the question is "what size should we do" then I'd say do both 20 and 22 to get the max customers..

+1 I'd like to see 20s and 22s offered

true...

offering 20s (along with 22s) will entice people that already have 20s but either don't want to spend any more money on tires AND/OR because of the condition of the road they drive often/most... perhaps people who go skiing or snowboarding a lot... mountain driving with 22s on a regular basis is not ideal.

as for design goes... keep in mind how picky some of us here can be... if there are too much exposure of the brakes... then, some will say going big brakes is a must (I can't afford it, personally). Lips... BIG LIPS is a must... (on the wheel design that is  ) Black wheels, chrome or machine polished lip is a popular design...

I couldn't disagree more :4tongue:

This really goes against my current budgeting and plans for the FX so I hope you go with something along the lines of what Ken is looking for so that I don't have to worry about being interested... the lip thing got old at least 2 years ago, and now it's horribly played out. Black with polished lip is the perfect example of what was well over-done.

My personal favorites are the Volk TE37 Time Attacks and EXE KonKave, neither of which were ever made in 22's :embarrassed:

I have to admit tho... and I'm sure y'all would agree with me on this... I see these Chrysler 300s with 22s sometimes 24s, and these guys go out and find the wheel that's got absolutely the deepest lips possible... but the problem is... the offset is waaaaaaaay off... to a point where the wheels are sticking out... that is just plain ghetto IMO.

Um - I guess I need new wheels cuz I gots blacked face and crazy lip......:embarrassed:

lol i love how people have been saying 20" and 22" but everyone is voting for 22's haha

but yea, for looks id go with 22's...
