What is it?

What is the eye or camera looking thing above the rear view mirror that faces out of the front windshield? Is that the lane departure system? If so how can you test it to see if it works? The wind was blowing me around on the road today and it never beeped or a light never flashed like the manual said it is supposed to.

Thats down on the dash by the security system light

There is a little sensor on the rearview mirror that faces back to the rear that detects headlights behind you and dims the mirror.

It's either lane departure or rain sensor for the auto wipers

I don't have rain sensing wipers that i know of. But here's the best pic I can get right now

Lane departure warning. The beep beep beep you hear if you start to leave your lane without signaling. You can turn if off down by your left knee, it should have an amber light on the button next to VDC OFF.

Yea it does. I'm guessing it doesn't work because ive not heard any beep or seen the light on the dash. And I've tried getting it to go off by weaving and changing lanes woth no signal
