What is best fuel saver device?

Really thin tires for less rolling resistance!

Oh, and butter the whole exterior, I've heard that works wonders!

But yeah, on a serious note, drive with a light foot, that's the best way to go and it's free. Regarding most of the fuel saving gizmos out there, an age old adage holds true: If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

I've been driving my ol' car to save gas

(not to mention keeping the miles off the odometer)

how bout the "tornado"?!?!?!

but seriously, i've managed to increase my milage by not being a leadfoot. +$4/gal on gas means $60 fill-ups, sometime twice a week for me.

I've heard with other cars that a good grounding kit can aid fuel mileage a little bit. I've also been told that a good ignition amplified like the HKS Twin Power promotes a more efficient fuel burn and therefore gives a little better mileage as well. These are the next two mods that I'll be installing on my FX so I'll let everyone know what I find out.

BTW, the only mod I have right now is the Stillen intake and I believe it actually hurt my gas mileage slightly. I will most likely be removing it shortly and going back to the stock system with a K&N drop-in filter. So if anyone wants a good deal on a Stillen intake please let me know.

if it were $4 it'd be alot more than that. i filled up from running on fumes and it cost me 76 bucks.

Full tank from dry on 91 is $96- !!! . . . & that's the Cheapest 76 in my hood

NEW YORK (AP) -- Oil futures blasted to a new record near $123 a barrel Tuesday, gaining momentum as investors bought on a forecast of much higher prices and on any news hinting at supply shortages. Time for turbocharged diesels guys! I really wonder how long will it last till US consumers start to buy smaller engine cars with 4 cylinders instead of the 5 litre monsters driven here

I hear moped's are a good way to get better gas mileage.

Seriously though it's pretty sad but i have gotten so used to it now that i don't even think about it. You have to get places and you have to drive so you might as well just fill up and try to carpool if you can. Oh yeah and make the GF drive to you more often.

Just My 0.02 cents worth but the Stillen Intake isnt the problem with the fuel ecconomy being hurt. Your actually sucking in Warm/Very hot edngine air, where if you where to box off your Stillen and create a Cold Air Intake CAI "cooler if you would rather call it!! you'd see that actually the Stillen improves performance and MPG...

Just my 2cents worth

76 is always the most expensive in socal. I always use 91 chevron with techron.

Best fuel saver is easing off the lead foot. Been averaging 17.4mpg with 80/20 split highway/city driving.
