I'm getting the upper and lower chrome portion's of grill done in black. Not the whole grill, just the two upper and lower chrome piece's in the picture below. What I was wondering should I do it in a matte/satin finish or a gloss black finish? I was going to do gloss black, but thought the matte/satin finish would set off the black chrome center of the grill more.

What finish do you guys think would look better?

I always like matte, just buy a can of plastic dip and spray, I like the matte of plastic dip. Just did my Murano grill, will do my FX too.

gloss. Nothing else on the car is matte there would be nothing to match it to.

I would go with gloss as well. I have done it yet. It's on my to do list lol

Because the spiral portion of the grille is a different color than OB black, it becomes way too much going on if it's not color matched black. I tried charcoal at first and it looked awful, so I'd definitely go with the color matched gloss as everyone else is saying.

i think you got your answer... i used satin on my entire grille and im a happy with it. : )

How about some CF vinyl sheets?

I was think about that, but I'm not too sure if it would look good since I'm not wrapping the whole grill in CF.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I'm going to try gloss black first.
